I have done my share of runs through COF P1, when I thought the flaming armor/weapons were cool….but now I have flames coming out of everywhere and don’t see much need for the dungeon tokens…

So my question, why is this path seen as such a great farming route? On each run I typically get a few blue items…maybe the rare green or yellow…and a little bit of gold/karma…but I don’t see it as lucrative as some seem to.

I have never mathematically compared the two, but it seems to me I do FAR better running from event to event in Orr, farming there. On a good day I can earn 3-5 gold an hour, better (I think) than I ever could in COF P1.

So what am I missing? Is there something I am missing that is critical to COF farming?

How much does it take you to do an event in Orr?

Well, CoF path 1 takes about 5-10 minutes, 5-6 with a 4 war/1 mes group. You earn a lot, lot, LOT more money than from a single event in Orr. Not to mention that you can use the tokens to buy rares at the vendor for 30 tokens each and salvage them for ecto. It just gives so much profit, and it’s not difficult or challenging in any way (the Searing Effigy fight has potential, but the rate on the crystal healing for the effigy is just so low that absolutely everything just outdamages it so you just have to dodge a projectile here and there and sidestrafe 3 steps out of the flamethrower.).

Thanks…I think based on your explanation and a couple others I was indeed missing some factors in the equation.

Well you see, you ping your Beserker gear but wear your Magic Find gear. Omnomberry Bar, maybe even the +50% Magic Find Consumable, and off you go.

I have been farming CoF P1 for a long, long time now. Yea, you get a lot of money, I average around 2.5 – 3g on each omnom berry, so around 5-6 gold an hour depending if I am running with my guild or with pugs.

1.buy yellow items (rares) with 30 tokens / item
2.salvage them for ectos then sell
3.become a billionare !
