Can the new epi clear xera shards?
if she is in the middle she is too far. you should be eping the adds anyway to increase dps on xera. unless you go with the clown fiesta strat and chrono is running around and you need to clear shards.

I’m pretty sure epidemic still hits the middle of her platform, too, so that’s always a problem.

Idk the change is neutral for me. Radius increase is nice but delay is not

The delay isn’t much of a thing, I think, now they fixed the body-blocking by having the projectile pass through anyone already hit by one. It really just ended up being an increased radius, and better signalling for the PvP players who now have a better chance to react to the incoming dot barrage…
Anyway, at the end of the day it’s really not changed from how it was before. So … if it was useful in a situation before, it’s just as useful now, and because of the larger range, maybe a touch more usable in edge cases…
I see, well that is unfortunate. I guess I would still consider power ele the go-to dps class for xera then.
While I have a few of your attentions, do any of you happen to know whether flesh wurm can be used to block xera’s orb? Similar to how you can block old tom’s bullet hell.
It can but not from middle.
It can also (bug) hit the user, witnessed this today during a xera run. I’m thinking it was a wonky interaction with mesmer distort granting reflect and the bolts from epi coming back to user.
i was under the impression that they fixed summons to not catch the red orbs but i might be wrong
My static used to use a Condi Necro to deal with the shards on Xera back around release. IIRC at the old 600 range, you would load up one shard with Condi and the ones on either side would get destroyed. It’s certainly feasible, but at this point in time, it’s not worth it.
I personally find that Daredevil is adept at the role, due to high burst and mobility the class/spec offers.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I might play around with it for a bit especially now condi ele is a thing so extra burns should be being pumped out.
I take it you saw the thing on reddit about finishers activating in the first field you enter, gives us all a bit more control over those chill finishers and others can in some way play around it.
