Can we get Glint fractal next?
I think a Glint based fractal could be kittening awesome! It could either be a group trying to get through Glint’s Lair back when she was alive to talk to her (perhaps even the Master of Peace trying to get the egg?), or a boss fractal surrounding Destiny’s Edge trying to go kill Glint, and then she talks to them and convinces them that she wants to help. As long as it features Glint’s Domain I think it could be pretty kitten awesome as a fractal.
OMG OMG OMG OMG!! THIS!! +1 for this post OP! I wouldLOVE this. With GW2 mechanics/graphics and added features and difficulty. OMG GREAT IDEA!

We did actually visit Glint’s domain in Season 2: Echoes of the past (Hidden Arcana). They could easily use it as a new fractal.
@Lahmia – Funny story, I got this idea while replaying Hidden Arcana on toons to get carapace armor haha I agree the setting would make a great fractal!
Well, I’d play the daylights out of this.
it has been suggested so many times already
i would dig that too
I’ve had the same idea when playing through Hidden Arcana pretty much the second I spawned into Glint’s Lair.
Way back when Raids were not in the mouth of everyone and not every encounter needed to be the Epic 30kk+HP Giant we see today. It contained Interesting Mechanics with the “Fragile Buff”, the Color attunements and a breathtaking setting.
Its implementation was solid, there were no gamebreaking bugs apparent (at least to me) and it was set up in a way that had you learn the mechanics along the way that you need for the encounter you were about to face.
I thought it was a glimpse at what the future of dungeons could look like, which were a thriving gamemode at the time.
Then HoT happened and not only did ArenaNet not bring a single piece of 5-Man-Content during HoT (the first new fractal (Chaos) since then came with LW-S3) but they also destroyed the Dungeon-Community by removing the majority of the rewards. And now they try to do damage control in implementing more and more fractals as what feels to me like a substitute for the lost content.
While i’d LOVE the idea of Glint’s Lair as repeatable content with dedicated rewards, I prefer Dungeons over any Fractal for one specific reason: They focus your mind on the narrative, while also not nescessarily pushing you into specific builds or DPS rotations like Raids or T4 Fracs.
I’ve heard a lot of claims that Raids are an oh-so-good way to tell the story and while that may be true, I still want content to relax on other than Open PvE.
I’d much rather have a battle against Abaddon at the Gates of Heaven, smiting him into the ocean, turning it into the desolation of Elona seems a lot more fun to me

I haven’t played GW1 so I don’t know a thing about Abaddon. So this doesn’t appeal that much to me outside of it being a pretty epic fight. However, such a fight is much better suited to either a Dungeon or a Raid than a fractal imo. A dungeon would allow Anet to really put much more lore into this, and I think it would be a failure without lore being baked in. A Raid would allow for the truly epic fights that fighting a God would necessitate. I just don’t think a fractal could do this justice unless it was exclusively a lvl 100 challenge mote

We wont get dungeons anymore as they discontinued the team working on it. Onntheir end, its dead.
But I agree, since abaddon is a god, maybe a raid is more suitable.
But if I may be so rude. It really pays off to play nightfall to better understand the role of the gods in this game, eye of the north for the bloodstones, and Prophecies to understand better the relations between charr and humans, the white mantle and the Ember Island Chains. Its not necessary, of course, but so much character/lore depth is prevalent if you did. Factions is nice, but hardly anything carried over, other than Revenant memory of Shiro
Trust me, I want to. As soon as I get enough money to buy GW1 (its like $45 with all expansions?) I’m planning on buying it and playing through it. But that just hasn’t been an option lately. Rent, food, and school take priority

Nah, if the full box is 14 euros here. I doubt any price over 25 dollars is fair. The game was hardly that expensive on release

I was lucky enough to get mine on steam as a daily deal.
Actually should reinstall it, pretty sure I’ve hit a couple of birthdays, might have enough minis for some HOM points.
But as to the OP, <Insert GW1 mission here> has always been in pretty high demand, whether it’s Glint’s Lair, Hell’s Precipice, Imperial Sanctum, Unwaking Waters (my personal choice, simply for the “Holy kitten that looks kitten beautiful” factor it would have) Gate of Madness, Curse of the Nornbear, A Time for Heroes (i.e. Great Destroyer) or whatever. Pretty sure Anet knows about it, hopefully one or two are in the pipe as either a part of the Arkk story they’re going with or something they plan afterwards.

Gate of Madness, the one mission true to its name
