I can’t put my ascended rings in the mystic forge to upgrade with agonized essences. They don’t show up in the mystic forge.

When will this be fixed?

Same, I was able to put most of my rings into the forge, but a few will not show up.
The ring in question is an Infused Crystalline Band, with no infusions mounted.

I’ve tried two of my character so far, both could put in their infused rings of red death, neither could put in their infused crystalline bands. I also tried an uninfused solaria I had sitting around in the bank randomly to see if you can attune rings that aren’t infused and it worked fine.

After some experimenting, I am fairly certain that any infused ascended ring that dropped with the +5 infusion already in it, before they updated to the new agony infusion system, will not work in the mystic forge.

A quick way to check, is if you link the rings in chat, the ones that wont work show they have a +5 in them when you put your cursor over the name, even though they do not because you extracted them already.

Can confirm this, it doesnt work with (Infused) rings or backpacks. Please Fix this, because nobody wants to run everything over and over again just to obtain and gamble with the RNG again, or spent hundrets of laurels that i dont have or wvw that i dont have!

Think this is only for rings ripkord, the descript in game doesn’t mention backpieces for the upgrade, or are they? I’ll have to check when I get online, would be nice to be able to do:)

ALso, I have been able to upgrade “Infused” rings, just some work and some don’t (apparently due to when you got the ring in question)

My one ring like this used to have MF on it and I got to swap out stats. With the attunement upgrade for rings, it changes the name of the available rings, but not the ones no longer available.

This. Tested and confirmed.

I even tested the rings that used to have Magic Find Stats on it(then later you get to choose stats when MF stats is abolished), those don’t work too.

Literally hoped on the game this morning to upgrade my rings so I can do higher level fractals but unfortunately after taking all my infusions out and finding my ring can also not go in the forge I now have less AR than what I started with.

Thank you Anet for making sure my log on was a totally pointless fail session where I actually ended up farther away from my goal than I started!

Can we at least get a response to show you are aware of this and hear back to see if it’s intended or not?

The way me and my guild did it was to attune a new ring and then infuse that using the old method. Wasn’t to bad as we had multiple back up rings.

Yea, I salvaged all my “backup” rings, had tons of infused ones from before and after any and all updates lol. Oh well, hopefully it gets fixed soon.

I’d really like to see a comment on this from ArenaNet, just to say that either they intend to fix it or it’s as intended, so I know if I have to start the grind all over again, or just wait for a patch.

I had to salvage my infused Red Ring of Death, because it wouldn’t go into the forge for upgrading to Attuned.

Ended up infusing a brand new Red Ring of Death AND then it would work for Attuned upgrade.

What a waste of time. So many rings are now apparently useless because they’ve already been infused before HoT, and thus they’re not eligible for upgrading to Attuned.

It’s not that they were infused before HoT, it’s because they were infused before another earlier fractal update. I have 2 rings I was using as my fractal rings, both infused, only one could be attuned, so either one of em was infused by me, or one of em dropped much earlier than the other.

i would also really enjoy it if they fixed this.

May be obvious, but did you guys put in the other parts first then the ring did not show up? Sometimes the order matters for some reason.

All rings that came with a +5 pre-Fractured update cannot be put into the forge.

Dang, I’m missing out on an easy +10 AR because of this.

Please let us know if you intend to fix this or not…I’m missing out on content because of it, but I don’t know whether or not to waste resources on new rings.

Thank god I had over 200 infused rings so I just kept selecting the same name ring until one worked. These stupid little bug type things are so annoying Anet as I hold on to my growing stack of fractal chests till you fix the “reduced RNG” loot bug.

Bump up, same as above, took out all my infusions to do this, didn’t work, now I’m not gonna waste gold putting them back in and out waiting till it’s fixed…

And yes, it’s about the rings that dropped before the +5 infusion change.

Fix this please.
