Man, for three days Ive tried. Guildies dont want to do it, only AC and others. If I do start a group, it never fills. WTH is going on? And forget about pugs…is this just my server?

I get a Arah group almost everytime I want one (I’m playing on Elona Reach). I started with pugs and after a while I had enough players on my buddy list to form a regular group. Now 2-3 of us go Arah 2 and 3 every day an we always take some randoms with us and show them how it works.

Well, personally, i do love doing CoF because its more rewarding and short. We’ve done a few times Arah. It’s both hard and long. We always stuck at Giganticus. Even die at mobs few times as premade.

In conclusion, there is not a single reason for me to go Arah altho i love doing endgame dungeons.

Man must be my server then. Just had another group fall apart before we even started.

Arah, or Lupi more precisely, is the only Dungeon that is not way too easy in my book, that’s why I run it every day. And of course because of the light armor skin, it’s just perfect for a Necromancer.

Groups are not restricted to players from the same server. You can start a thread here and find a group if your server doesn’t want to go Arah.

I prefer tougher Dungeons too, infact I used to do DOA runs just because they were the only thing that really made my monk “Work for it” even tho I had ZERO interest in the Rewards. …I’ve been doing that in this game now in every COE path even tho none of the Reward gear pieces have Stats that fit any of my Builds.

But No, I haven’t seen a single Arah EXP form in all the time I’ve been playing with very capable Guildies, Nor have I seen a single PuG group even appear to be forming in LA for it…. and I’m on CD which is super crowded and always very Busy in the Evenings (and there’s really not many COF’s forming on here either, our whole playerbase is a bit above average and does more TAs/HWs/SEs/COEs than CoFs).

Well, I don’t see much people looking for Arah in LA too, but the Cursed Shore chat is full of Arah requests. Of course, most of the time you have to step up and start forming the group by yourself.

I have tried for about a week and haven’t been able to get just one to go. So I have pretty much just waiting for someone to ask while I am there other than that I dont even ask anymore. For the most part is seems that their are more bots than players. And pretty much the ones that make runs only want to run Plinx over and over. I have even tried to get a Grenth together and that failed so I sit patiently by waiting for someone to start one up.

This isn’t a problem with people not wanting to do Arah, it’s a problem with the LFG system. On blackgate there are regular Arah pubs, and I’ve found groups in overflow.

Wait for the LFG revamp, which is probably going to be in sometime in 2018

I honestly don’t think that Elona Reach is the only server where you can form a Arah 2 or 3 group, there are people on every server that want to do Arah. As I said before, people should try to search via “LFM” instead of “LFG” and offer a TS as well as a proper guidance to the Dungeon. And once you found someone that doesn’t suck at playing his char, add him to your buddy list an try to form groups together with him. LFM is already better than LFG if you want to find a group, but if you post something like “LFM Arah 3 (3/5)” you will even get more requests.

I do this dungeon daily, runs take about 40 mins for the fastest path ( P 3) and longer for the others. The problem is (I feel) not so much that people struggle to do it, but that the rewards are not better than any other dungeon. Why spend 40 mins + in Arah when you can spend like 20 in CoF for the same reward just different set of tokens.

Now the argument is that well the Arah token set of gear is more prestigious. People see you wearing that and go ‘wow that must be a good player.’ To be honest though, for those who are capable of running it smoothly I just don’t see it that way, I don’t mind the skin but it doesn’t mean anymore to me than when I see someone wearing the full COF set. And it’s just not enough of a motivator.

Factor in the fact that you may have to take some pugs who have no idea wtf is going on and you take the risk of making that run even longer when you could easily just do another dungeon and if a pug doesn’t know whats going on it doesn’t matter so much/is easier to explain to them what to do.

For me I do it at the end of my day, when my other dungeons are on DR and my guildies wanna go in for a quick run and get it done. My motivation is that Lupicus is a fun boss, I make it a personal challenge each day not to get downed once, sometimes I manage, sometimes I don’t but it’s all in good fun and the tokens I just use to reskin my ugly AC gear lol.

On my server I don’t think it’s so hard to find people, it’s just harder to find people who know what to do. I have noticed over the past few days that the Halloween event has alot of people preoccupied on my server which makes it take a bit longer to find 1 or 2 to fill in my last slots.

Hey Swiftpaw I think I ran a TA with you once on Isle of Janthir, but I could be mistaken. To the OP it must be your server, because IoJ has plenty of Arah runs daily.

Possibly, I am on IoJ and I have done alot of TA haha. I don’t remember you but name seems familiar

Problem is, most pubs suck at it and unless they’re shooting for the Gift, they have absolutely no incentive to do it.

The reason why AC and CoF are so popular is because they provide popular stat distribution at an easy difficulty. If you want berserker gear, are you going to run CoE or Arah instead of CoF? Of course you’re not, nobody runs that stuff. It would take two or three times the investment for the same reward. Nobody in their right mind would choose otherwise unless they particularly like one of the dungeons or armour skins.

Now with the release of the Mad King “dungeon” you can pretty much kiss the notion goodbye. Nobody is going to be running an unpopular dungeon until November, or perhaps even later depending on how long it takes Arenanet to sort their loot problem out.

Just finished two Arah runs in a row (2 and 3) with a PuG. People still go Arah and they will always do so. The Mad King Dungeon is not really a problem, cause it’s boring as hell after you did it once. Yes, you might get some nice loot, but that doesn’t matter if you are already wearing full exotic gear (which a lot of the lvl 80 chars do).

If people are going for this give me whisper and i’ll come along. Finding it impossible to get groups on my server too. EU
