Catching up with guild progression in FotM

If they were nice, they’d group with you to help you progress. They can play lower levels and still get loot and tokens. I do the same for my lower scaled guildies and even am scaling an alt Mesmer to speed the process.

I see what you mean— though I suppose my guild members follow a somewhat “always forward, never backward” mantra. This can be further proven by realizing they still had almost no Agony resistance the last time I grouped with them, while I was fortunate (or rather lucky ) to have 15 resistance. The only time they usually fall back is when they’re doing the daily chests at 10 and 20 (and even then, it’s usually with the same pug that sticks with them so I’m still left dwindling my thumbs while blowing up the undead in Cursed Shore).
I hate to think how this situation would be like in larger guilds, especially those with members who develop cliques amongst themselves and don’t really consider much of those below them as far as Fractal difficulty levels are concerned.
On the other hand, I suppose it might not matter too much when Ascended gear becomes more widely available through various means in the future, but old habits die hard— I tend to be somewhat hardcore as far as doing dungeon content is concerned but casual in many other things. I guess that makes me “casual-core” if such a thing exists.

Solution: Twiddle your thumbs in LA instead of CS.

Brilliant! At least I’m in the zone with that instance, yo! LOL!
Though I do see your point. As seen in my screenshot in the OP, I was in Lion’s Arch when it was taken so I was indeed part of that pool of players looking for other randoms looking to progress in the content.

Well, I said that because if you’re in CS, the most you’re doing to find a group is having a post up in GW2LFG which is NOT actively looking to level up. Finding/making a group has taken me 30 minutes AT MOST not due to lack of members, but due to lack of an Overflow.

True enough, but I personally would like to do other things to keep myself occupied instead of spamming Lion’s Arch for who knows how long, especially during the morning east coast hours when not many people are online compared to prime time hours. (And when I do get people during the morning, half the times, it’s usually people that don’t speak English) That’s when I wished there were something slightly more automated in finding a group … but that’s a totally different thread all together.
I suppose it would be easier on even levels seeing that those levels are farmed for the daily chest often while odd levels can be tricky depending on the time of the day. Often times, however, PUGs I’m usually in breaks apart after completing one complete cycle (at least they do in higher levels compared to lower levels), so I’m basically back to square-one when it comes to looking for a group. Again, I play on random times of the day, and some of those times finding a group might be more challenging than actually doing the content itself. So eventually I get bored of finding people to do Fractals, and I find other things to do to keep myself occupied until something happens.
