Caudecus Manor (CM) Story Mode Bug
Had the exact same thing, made a bug report + screenshot.
Due to the changes of the difficulty on story mode, mobs seems to behave strange in more parts of the dungeon (walking through walls, agro without even being close etc.)
Exact same problem for my group as well. Bug reports with screenshots sent. Extra disappointing since I was half of the party members were new to dungeon, and this makes a terrible first impression to the experience. It’d be nice to know when this is properly fixed, because if i take them into a dungeon again and we run into another game breaker, I’m fairly certain two of two of them are ready to give up on dungeons completely (they didn’t find the ascalon catacomb story mode any fun at all, and now a fail on the last fight, so there was some understandable grumbling at the end).
Tried this twice just now, and ran into the same problem both times. I’m pretty sure we only encountered two separatists though (not including DeLana, the semi-boss). The third never spawned.
CM is kittened with this patch.
Just adding my two cents by saying I experienced the exact same problem. The very last fight cannot be completed, due to the quest being stuck at 2/3 separatists killed (probably because of an unspawned separatist, although I do not know that for sure). The group of soldiers guarding the queen constisted for me out of 2 fighters and the boss and the boss does not count as one of the three separatists you are supposed to kill.
I hope you can look into fixing this soon, since this blocking bug is frustrating on two fronts. One for not being able to complete my personal story and two for affecting the very last fight. Although all blocking bugs are bad, the fact that you can successfully run through the entire story mode just to find this block at the end makes the bug even more disappointing.

We had this last night. We were taking friend that just started little bit ago, on his first dungeon run and this happens.
We bugged it. But the damage is done. Not something good to happen on a first run.
Also happened to me this afternoon. Jade Quarry. Not sure what’s happening… I didn’t see any extra spawns stuck in terrain or anything. I’ve never done it before, so I don’t know how it’s supposed to work.

This bug (and the one in SE explorable) were reported minutes after the patch. Why Arena Net can’t simply take those dungeons / paths offline until they are fixed is beyond me.
Leaving them in the game, wasting players’ time and repair money, is only going to damage the image people have of the game and make them more likely to go play something else.
Just pop up a message: “This content is temporarily disabled for maintenance. Please check back later.” And people will go do a different dungeon (or carve some pumpkins) instead of feeling that they’re playing a game where the developers don’t care enough about players to test dungeons properly before releasing patches or even to give them a simple warning about content that is known to be broken.
Ran into this yesterday. One player was really funny, he issued a bug report and then wanted to wait until a GM would contact him.
Also, this is 5 days old? Must be quite a daunting task to temporarily change the requirement to 2 seperatists, if fixing the spawn is too much of a hassle.
I’ve had this happen to me twice now and it’s really annoying.
One time the third guy spawned and then proceeded to disappear when he turned hostile.
I would really appreciate it if they even just acknowledged this issue and that they are working on a solution but it’s been almost a week now and nothing has changed.
The same happened to me just a few days before the mad king start on sunday, perhaps this is the reason there’s been no fix as everyone is busy with halloween?
IF this is the case then ARENANET should fix the content they allready have before releasing new content.
AND YES the content that is bugged should be DISABLED, far better to be a LITTLE dissapointed that something cant be done – than to NEARLY complete it, only to find out that its bugged and cant be completed – SO THAT WAS A WASTE OF TIME
ARENANET should remember that when the expansion comes out A LOT OF PEOPLE will be hesitant about rushing out to the shops to buy it (wait 6 months for the bugs to be fixed?) – UNLESS they change the way, that they respond to the INCONVENIENCED players. . . . .

Players have wasted Time, Money, and consumables on trying to do content that ANET know (or should know) is broken – I’m not asking for a personal call from a programmer to apologize!! – BUT something in the (in game) mail would make people feel better- Dyes/cosmetics/boosters/food consumables/whatever – and i know you most probably wouldn’t please everyone but YOU WOULD please a lot of people. . . . . and just maybe they would rush to the shops to buy the expansion/s
Thought it’d be fixed after a week but guess not. Ran into the same bug about an hour ago and reported it. Does anyone even do anything about the in-game reports?
Wouldn’t care too much since CM story mode is really easy but I wasted quite a bit of silver on repair costs, and wanted to complete it as a pre-req to future parties being able to enter exploreable mode through me. What a waste of time and money.
Just ran into this bug today. Seriously, why can’t anet just block the content? It has been an entire week since the first complaints came out.
