i don’t think Anet knows what Challenging means.from what I’ve seen it means giving Trash mobs a 1 shot attacks. the bosses go from Easy Fight Mechanics,to actual Challenging Fight Mechanics,to just really really awful game mechanics.

take for example Tazza from SE exp. the fight is so simple. but Anet decided to pack Tazza with TONS of Health Points.the fight takes 5mins+ or more.this in no way is Challenging.the fight becomes boring and tedious. it shows how bad your Fight Mechanics are. you just packed Tazza up with tons of HP and called it a day.

a good and actual Challenging Dungeon is AS exp. the path with those Lizard thing.the first boss actually requires you to be on your feet the whole time. if you miss that Dodge you get 1 shotted. it’s not the games fault,it’s yours.the boss goes down fairly quickly if the fight is done right. there is a chance the the whole group could wipe.then you have the second boss. where you have to activate those traps. it’s satisfying mechanics.you have 2 guys up and 1 guy down, with 2 tanks in the bottom.

Dungeons like TA exp. where the Flowers will kill you more than the bosses. i tried to actually find a group that fights the trash mobs.nobody wants to fight those trash mobs. everyone prefers to run pass the trash while trying to dodge the gas the plants emit.the trash is not the problem is the plants. they become an annoyance.running pass them to the end,get you to the boss faster. you don’t have to spend 5mins + killing trash get worrying about the plants respawning.

some of your game mechanics are not difficult. they’re cheap death mechanics. trying to trick people into thinking they’re are difficult.i think Anet is caught up in being “THAT MMO with HARDCORE DUNGEONs” that they will do anything to look Harcore.

just look at Arah and CoE exp. those dungeons are empty. they have some of the worst game mechanics in game.you get the feeling like you’re being punished for just go inside a dungeon.this is not the what “Challenging” is.

there is no real reward for doing a so called "challenging"boss/route. you get the same reward as if you took the faster/not broken route.
