You don’t even need reflection for the adds, you just need to be able to use the dodge key and focus DPS. They key is coordination.

You’d have to try and get a group together with 0 reflection skills or AOE. I’m sure it’s possible but why not have 1 thief, guardian, mesmer, ele, etc.?

As a phantasm build with focus reflect it’s entirely possible to solo the adds while the whole party is off rezzing downed members, on the boss, etc.

I like this fight, its actually really fun and this boss can show who is a good/bad player. enough said.

@lordbyron i’m not sure if lvl 51 is high enough for you but i stay melee with my d/d Ele when i’m s/f mesmer so yeah actually it is possible and more funny..

Lvl 1-50 is quite boring and too easy for us if we stay in range. In my opinion there is no easier fractal. Nothing can kill you if you have enough reflects and even with reflects you can kill the elementals before they can kill you if everyone is full zerker

In the 4 ele Video it just seems to be difficult because everyone run pvt…

Edit: i can’t understand why ppl cry because of this boss since ascalon is much more difficult… 10k dmg from warriors autoattack? Onehit if you get hit from a mage BEFORE the meteor even hits you? Me and my party EVERYTIME die before anything hits us – we used fraps and saw the ascalonians shot their arrows 15 frames after the dmg is killing someone. Grawl is brain akitten and easy since you can evade all attacks, instand kills from nowhere are bigger problems

Today this boss again brought my PUG run to a screeching halt. Some of us wondered if something had been changed about the battle. Why did it feel so much harder? Then our party leader realized something was terribly wrong, and that one player really wasn’t pulling his weight. I hadn’t paid any particular attention to it, but our party leader issued a vote kick, and the player was kicked from the party. We swapped him for another random player, and we made it on our very next attempt with ease.

That is how much difference one player can make at this battle.

Note i cleared this fractal somethng like a hundred times…..but somehow i feel some professions are not contributing enough.

If this is pointed to ele than I can just laugh out loud. since you haven’t metioned the most imba skill for this fractal for an ele…

i did Yesterday lvl 48 grawl without guardian….(i play fotm 48 twice a day).

But i used mesmer…that i playe seriously since 2 weeks rather than with ele that i deeply tested since fotm release….(excluding glyphs and signet i don t like)

Some players Always yell L2P because seems they don t realize how things works and sometimes they don t understand things while being carried.

I can survive alone for minutes alone while
My party will die due to my terrible lack of reliable dps while having only personal antiprojectile decent uptime.

Unless they do all the work.
As seems happens with too many players saying l2p.

Try to play with bad players and be the one carrying people…test classes and you learn for yourself.
