Changes to dungeons in Dec 21st patch.
His attacks has always been wide 240-270 deg. The animation wasn’t correct so they fixed the animation to show the true attacking angle.
If you stay out at range this attack nor the boulders from the ceilings can even reach you. If your at melee range you can just dodge roll thru him.

I’ve never been hit by that wide of an attack by him. I’ve had no trouble standing behind him until the recent patch.
i have a feeling you’re confusing the howling king and collosus rumblus… the howling king has a small soulscream(which also confuses) and summons adds (similar to a breeder), the rumblus has always (well, since ive been doing ac) has an erratic/larger scream radius and drops boulders from the roof

As well loot is nerfed like hell…
