So I finally got to CoF, and fortunatly unlike in Sorrow’s Embrace, I saw lots of players. After asking few of them I realised all of them are looking for explorable mode parties, and I’m the only one looking for story mode party. What happened? Did I miss the moment when everyone was doing story mode and now I’m just behind the times?

It’s quite simple really. Story rewards aren’t great and story isn’t needed to enter explorable (it is only needed to start it). So most people do explorable without actually having done story.

Now the solutions. If you care about the lore and therefore want to experience story before explorable (and watch cutscenes in both), then your best bet are guildies or friends. If you do not care about the lore, just join random explorable groups. At some point no one will have story, which result in the group either disbanding or completing story.

P.S. You can of course also try to find a proper story group, but it might take a while.

Not only is that story mode harder than average (GS boss is ridiculous), but it’s a pain just to get into the place because of the event that is usually contesting the entrance. This was also the only dungeon I had someone ragequit two runs in a row, effectively ending the dungeon early because of how unpopular it is. Anyway, good luck getting story mode done. I recommend LFGing in LA and pestering guildmates for it.

I know me and my friend will be doing every story mode for all the dungeons later today (his new alt, needs them all done so he can actually be the first to enter explorable modes)

If you add me and you’re on when we do them all you can certainly come with us for CoF story. Assuming you havent already done it.

I did story mode for CoF last night and I must say it does take a chunk of time with little reward. It took about an hour and a half at least.

Everything was pretty easy and simple, and that is coming from a random PUG party that have never done it before and never youtubed it.

The only hard part was I think the west side thing you had to destroy. The boss guarding it does a kill whirlwind along with two floating swords (that can’t be killed or cc’d btw).

Other than that, it was just getting threw it really. Finally boss is more about tactics than DPS since you hurt him by throwing rocks at him.
