This fight is a joke, absolutely nothing hard about it.
He doesn’t even have a lot of hp.

But why, why in gods name does he at times never charge prolonging the fight for absolutely no reason.

It’s not like we aren’t at pillars waiting for him to charge, no.. He simply refuses to charge making a boring fight even more so.

Suggestions? The longer he takes to charge, the longer it also takes for his jormag skin thing to re-apply, or make him charge at set intervals that doesn’t include numbers higher than 20-30 seconds.

That is all, otherwise still one of the few bosses who ain’t 100% tank and spank. ( out of like 5? )

He seems to charge more often when everyone is spread out and away from him, hiding behind a pillar. If he’s chasing you closely, you need to keep running until he stops, in such a manner that he’ll hit a pillar.

Stay 2 pillar lengths away, he doesn’t charge when he’s close.

I haven’t seen any behaviour that makes him charge more.

We normally split around the room near the pillars, while the person being chased kites towards different pillars hoping he gets excited and charges towards anything. Even charging towards spire would be much loved.

Tedious? I find this bossfight hilarious.

Nah, the boss is fine, he bugs sometime when he gets out of the arena, but you change attack direction and he enters it. One of the easiest bosses, and with decent dps, he goes down pretty fast.

Wrong animation, Sword up in air = Icicle summoning aoe skill.

Sword into ground = Ice armor if absolute annoyance.

I think what happens is he aggros onto someone that he can’t path to or something and gets stuck. Generally I tell people to up on the platform or where he can reach you easier and he gets unstuck.

I run it every day as well and have never had him refuse to charge that long. We all get a reasonable length away from him and he always charges.

sometimes he gets stuck, in a similar way to the gorilla boss in arah. having someone walk up to his face gets him unstuck most of the time

Stop complaining, he isn’t bugged.

Its a feature

I enjoy Bjarl. An interesting and entertaining mechanic to what would otherwise be an extremely dull boss. His hp may be a smidge high when compared next to the rest of the dungeon now, but at least he isn’t an HotW boss.

when he refused to charge, tell all your party to go to his blind spot, go to the back of the pillar, he will move after that and start to chasing u people behind the pillar, spread out and lure him to charge the pillar.

Bjarl doesn’t have any defiant stacks. He used to have the resilience boon, but they took it away a couple of patches ago.

There are certain consumables out there…

Hmm I won’t spoil anything. Go look for them yourself, it makes the fight ridiculous xD

You can burst him down pretty fast with a good team.

I was at the water blocking edifice the other day. And while there I found some debris. It made me think of my friend Bjarl.

Chain all of your group CC skills in co-ordination. We’ve managed to kill him from full health with just one re-buff.

Expensive to do that.

Warrior with 2h hammer 1h mace and 1h shield and 3x physical skills can attain quite the stunlock on their own.
