CoE the most underused dungeon.
I run coe almost every day, never have a problem filling up a group using the lfg site. if you keep having trouble finding a group feel free to add me and we can run it sometime!
I would’ve thought COE to be the second most popular dungeon.
Nah, try Honor of the Waves. Definitely the most ghost-town dungeon on LFG.
Considering the chance of charged cores, this dungeon is definitely under-run p1 is really easy too.
Spirit of Faith [HOPE] – RIP
Correction- It’s under run by pugs and for good reason. They cant dodge and their dps is crap. It’s spammed the hell out of by organized groups and guilds.

I dislike p1 in PuGs… It’s that darn console hacking room. Someone always messes it up. Last time I had a PuG break at the last second because he was afraid that the defender couldn’t handle the bombs. :|
I could have sworn that sorrow’s embrace was the most underplayed dungeon. I even forget it exists on the map most of the time.

It’s a dungeon that goes smoothly with coordination, and it’s hard to find a proper PUG group.
I run all three paths almost daily. I was always under the impression that this is the easiest dungeon next to CoF. Even moreso with the nerf to Subject Alpha a while back.
We speed clear these paths daily as a guild. I’m sure there’s some guides out there; just like cof this one can be run easily if the group knows how to do it.

I’ve been playing since November and I still haven’t had a reason to go there. It’s probably because the armor is hella ugly and the weapons are just red version of Asuran skins.
It depends on the time of day, it’s pretty busy around daily reset.
Considering I’ve never done a guild run in CoE I wouldn’t sell PuG’s short, it has the sort of dynamic that you only need two people need to know what their doing for Alpha, and that’s just to break each other out of crystals, something even a PVT carebear can do. Unless of course you have ports but who brings all those if you’re not expecting to solo him?
Once CoF gets out into the ground, CoE popularity will skyrocket, and watch that Charged Lodestone price plummet
Skye Eterna ~ Mesmer | Arya Slade ~ Charrdian | Kiera Thine ~ Ranger
Oceanic ~ [LOD] [Noob]
on EU, if we take a look at the gw2lfg starting with the least runned:
- Caudecus – 4.6%
- Sorrow’s embrace – 5.4%
- Honor of the waves – 5.7%
- Crushible – 7.4%
- tied is TA / Arah – 8.4%
- Ascalonian Catacombs – 14%
- Citadel of flame – 46%
And if a mathematician comes around, he can correct me, but I believe that with a total number of dundgeon being 81k, it’s a sufficiently large pool to trust somewhat those values

COE is a really easy and fast dungeon once you know the Subject Alpha fight. It is still easy to find groups for this dungeon, but most will want you to be experienced and know the fights. Not very PUG friendly.
Find a good group and friend them. You will be speed clearing COE and getting charged cores before you know it!

I think this right here is part of the problem. People think that p1 is the easy fast path when p2 is faster and easier while p3 is even faster and easier.
I honestly have no problem ever finding a group for Coe when I post on gw2lfg and my guild chat is always full of people doing Coe. This dungeon just falls under that category of… If they have to dodge, it’s to hard and not worth it.
the actual issue is instead “the chance of charged cores”
I run a lot of coe because cof is quite boring…..i got 2 cores and 1 lodestone out of last 20 runs :<
but i met players getting 4 in 3 runs :S
People prefer cof because its guaranteed moneys while coe is not.
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

what is the best strategy for the console hacking room? we always run into issues…

1 person jump on console and activate, everyone protect. Then everyone stack on the side of the console, kill all large golems. Then 4 people jump on console and activate simultaneously while one person protects.
With pugs and no voice chat, I explain before we go in so we’re all on the same page. For the second console activation I show them my #2 GS guardian skill and that’s their queue to activate, as opposed to someone counting down because I’ve seen it mess up too many times. Works pretty well.

I got everything i needed (chest, legging, staff, warhorn, sword) from this dungeon the first month game came out. Now its been dead for almost a year and there’s no point of doing it again
1. COF
2. COE
3. AC
4. All the rest
That’s how popularity falls for most of the people I run with on a consistant basis.
I was randomly invited to COE last night… while on my Ranger.
I’m not internet famous and inviting any ranger is always a big gamble.
Especially since it was the Sub path where Ranged weaps are pointless.
So I’d have to assume it’s no where NEAR underused as far as dungeons go.
(I never get random invites to AC for example where Rangers actually can be generally more useful…. generally)
I’ve seen a lot of farming COE groups on gw2lfg, something like cof p1 farming, basically doing coe full run or p1 and p2 multiple times for cores/lodes and tokens
Is currently emotionally unstable because Breaking Bad is over
I disagree – CoE is very popular across both guild runs and pugs (but manly P1 there) for the charged drop, level 80 loot and quite nice looking armor/weapons (with zerk stat too).
Most used: Guard/Mes/War/Nec/Ele.
Yes, i use 5 chars at time. Because REASONS.
i do all 3 paths everyday using gw2lfg, i never have issues finding experienced groups either
Notalkingplz (PvE/Spvp) – Guardian
Rough Trade (PvE)/Urok Ashpaw (Spvp) – Engineer
Maybe you’re just looking at gw2lfg.com at bad times, but I run CoE almost everyday and while I usually post LFM, I have no trouble joining a group that’s forming up, whether it be just a P1 run or all paths.
Don’t worry, once they nerf the CoF P1 farm you’ll see a hell of a lot more CoE P1-2-3 posts.

Only reason i know of is going for a juggernaut and the other legendary that needs 500 of those tokens.
CoE is the dungeon i run most often, but that is not something to be surprised as i am working towards Mjölnir. Also p1-3 takes like 45 to 60 mins if you know what you are doing
