@ CoF Elitists -
did you pull the 2 mobs near the right turret at the beginning? Put a feed back after that on the 2 mob. And cast focus 5 after that for projectile reflection?
did you push slave driver against the wall so the warrior can whirld wind against the wall?
did you cast signet of inspiration when the door opens at the beginning?
did you cast signet of inspiration after the rolling fireball so everyone have max might stack?
did you remember to switch out skill for feedback at the end boss and cast it at the right time?

Good pulls and Feedback are probably more important than Time Warp and Portal. Sounds like that’s what you were missing.
No need to be mad at the whole community, that’s the speed run community. You either deliver or you get booted. Check out some speed runs videos from a mesmer point of view, they give it a go again. Or you can just do non-speed runs.

Start by using #4 focus skill on the right side by the two turrets to pull the two fanatics close to the right turret and allow everyone to cleave all 3 targets. About halfway through the fanatics dying pop a feedback on them so your team avoids the second turret barrage.
At the slave driver, focus pull (or GS push) him into the wall and pop Signet of Inspiration (once might stacks are up) and Time Warp, if your team is a little slow and the Effigy comes at you, use a feedback to block its attacks.
Do the run, as you come up to the turrets and fanatics you can feedback to protect from the turret barrage but it’s not necessary. Assist as much as you feel like on the acolytes.
Portal for the boulder run is self explanatory. As the gate opens from that hallway, yell at your team for might stacks then signet to double up stacks on the gate killer. Stay alive in the braziers and wait for the gate to be down.
Make sure to change blink out for feedback as you enter the effigy room. Watch for the boss attack where he raises one arm and pounds the ground with his fist, feedback that so your team doesn’t get hit by the knockdown projectiles (preferably during the Time Warp so they don’t have to waste DPS time dodging). Time warp and signet again. You can also drop iWarden and Curtain to help reflect projectiles if Feedback is on CD but they’re not as reliable.
Fin.
ed: oh yeah, when you enter the first gate get yourself some Curtain swiftness and drop a portal near the flame walls leading to the second gate. Head down to Suma and Ferrah, using a blink to go faster, then skip the cutscene and talk to Ferrah while someone is still in the cutscene. Once Suma becomes available to pick the path, talk to him and drop portal exit, then portal back and run up to Magg’s gate so Ferrah doesn’t have to slow walk the whole way. Pick the path when you’re near the gate.

Sticky this please so you teach all the noobs how to do it properly elitists.
Also stop being a whiny baby using “elitists” as an insult and don’t join speedrun groups if you don’t want to be held to standards.
Joins speed runs, whines about being in speed runs.
Doesn’t use class reflect mechanics, whines about party members saying they aren’t doing their part.
There are other type of farm/speed run. You can try to join. They are usually less strict. Those group usually can do 6 runs per hour without problem. Even the elite group can’t run more than 8 runs every hour(at least 99% of them), so the difference isn’t that big.
Group you can try to join are:
warrior/mesmer group without ping gear requirement.
berserker only group without class requirement.
farm run without any requirement.

How many times to we really have to go through this?
You can’t just walk into an established culture with very clear expectations/standards and start criticizing because it doesn’t suit you… The rate we are seeing these posts is just sad. At least I can say what I like about the CoF runners is that they are fairly clear and specific about what they what to do and who they want to do it with, as opposed to actions like,

well my parents taught me not to say anything if I don’t have anything nice to say, so this is all I had to say.

I learned this from Thumper’s mother
It’s pretty much been said…so all I will say is look for CoF groups simply looking for “CoF p1 multi runs” or something like that, they usually are pretty casual about it. Groups looking for “zerk” “speed runs” “ping gear” are usually the ones who will kick you once you make the smallest mistake.
People have said they have been dropped because they cost the group 20s…20s!
So if you can’t handle those types of groups avoid them or work on your skills with regular groups til you feel you can keep up with them.

It’s ok I’ll say it for you.
My friend, it appears to me that you have arrived at a misunderstanding of that an ‘elitist’ is and how this affects you negatively. You see, the issue at hand here is not that people are being elitist, it is that you are being an unsuitable player for their speed clears and they do not wish to take you because of it. If you are just wanting to get the dungeon done, there are plenty of non-speed clear parties you can join, or you can make your own. There is no use having a hissy fit and typing up some passive aggressive rant on the forums in the hopes that someone will listen to you.

Here is a very insightful video on how this works: http://youtu.be/1nCWHb8JamU
It’s step by step, nice and slow. It can be a very complex and time consuming task but I know in time and with lots of practice, anyone can get the hang of it.

Honestly given the fact you can get through the run pretty fast with a regular group (as long as they know what they are doing) and the fact that speed running is simply for cash and not some grand skill challenge. Who really cares? We barely kitten bricks over FoTM being the same kittening way. If you really want to be in a speed run then do what they ask. If not there is plethora of other parties who simply do not give a kitten if you have perfect pulls or not.
I need to ask why put yourself through the stress? They get in maybe one to 2 extra runs in an hour over a regular all class group assuming everyone does their job. It is not like the all class group do not know the run either. Most of those groups are full of casuals who still run path 1 5 times a day.
No one forces you to run with a sped group and that goes for all dungeons no one is that picky the community at large does not care what class you bring. You opened yourself up for that criticism and that’s your own fault. I never deal with the elitist rather stay clear of that kitten storm all together. They have their game I have mine more power to them as long as they do not come into my casual group it is all good.
