It’s just too hard even for people who knows how to do it. Everything is fine except the last boss…

yup hes quite broken atm
need luck on the crystal spawn and massive DPS with specific classes and constant poison.

cant be done with pubs atm

A group and I that had great communication and a what I assume was the same battle plan as most people… couldn’t do it. At 25% health he becomes a god that has too much regen. We unleashed everything while doing some nice crystal management and Mr. Superweapon was just like, “lol nope!” I’m sure this horse has been beaten to death like 376.8 times, but I figured one more couldn’t hurt. This is a prime example of a path that needs some tweaking and I am confident it will get it.

Great group, bad boss

He’s hard, but can be easily doable, just that you’re forced to have a poison dealer + dps to kill him.

we did it twice the other day..one time was a lot easier than the other…but we communicated and saved all our cd’s for ~35%…once he started to slow down..one of the lower dps goes after the crystals..other than that he’s fairly straight forward and by no means impossible…well at least now he’s impossible on Fort Aspenwood cuz the entrance is bugged shut -.-

I had the same problem. Couldn’t do CoF path 1. And I was also saying that he is broken etc. I thought it was only possible for certain groups, with certain profs. After doing some changes today, I have to admit that I sucked hugely. We did the boss in about 1 minute, faster than any youtube video I ’ve seen, or anyone I ’ve heard doing it. When we do it again tommorow, I ’ll make sure to post a video.

Our group was: Elementalist, Thief, Necromancer, Guardian, Warrior.

Yeah he is definitely a tough boss. And it’s not “bring any friends” friendly because you need either of 2 specific team comp.

1. High DPS comp
2. Has lots of poison classes comp

We did it yesterday w/ 3 warrior, 1 mesmer, 1 ele. We tried the crystals method but there were crystals all over the room, we spent so much time trying to get the crystals that the boss just heals to full.

Tried again DPS method. We focused on the boss, and boss only.
1. I took a poison on weapon swap sigil on my ele and tried to poison it whenever i saw the heal buff on it. On my elite, i took the 15 sec poison and saved it for when it had like 8 stacks of heals on it.
2. We got some crystals low, so when we died, we killed the crystals around us to get a rally.

So Burst DPS + Poison sigils and we worked that boss to death.

IDK i think it would be a difference experience if we didn’t have 3, geared, skilled, High DPS and high surviability warriors lol

I’m still under the impression that the crystal spawn times are bugged and spawn to quickly. If they were slowed down a bit you could actually do the fight like it’s suppose to be done, destroy crystals then dps boss, but the way it is you have to just go crazy on him and ignore them.
