While reading todays patch notes over here – https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Update-Notes-October-22-2012
I came across this part under general updates -
•Citadel of Flame medium armor coats now include the warning text “This coat hides shoulder armor.”
I don’t quite understand the point behind the amazing shoulders offered by this dungeon if they’re only going to be covered up by the chestpiece. I feel this is a lazy way out of updating the visuals. The CoF medium shoulders should show up while using the chestpiece just like every other set of armor.
I read somewhere that an Anet staff member said they wanted the medium armor to be “unique” in a respect, and it is. However, not allowing the shoulders to show in anyway, shape, or form is silly. I kind of feel that us medium armor using players are being shorted a bit. The CoF shoulders are awesome and the people who designed them are awesome. They should show somehow, somewhere.
Also, I realize you can transmute the stats from the CoF chest to another piece of gear and then be able to see your shoulders, but the point still stands that the CoF shoulders created for that set should have a place in the overall gear set.
