CoF path #2 defend event
The way my party usually does it is we line up outside the room. One person goes in and kites the mobs. Before the person gets downed, next person in line goes in and takes over. Person who gets downed respawns and goes to the end of the line.

didn’t you get the memo? they said its NOT intended for you to run around the room. So they changed it to run INTO the room.
I have done the instance many times, before and after “fix” but the “intended” way seems not doable or at least far from the optimal. Please stop “fixing” to force players to play they way you want. That goes against the GW2 philosophy, maybe they didn’t get the memo.
Most importantly kill the 1st spawn, if you notice the 1st shaman flame region mob actually does tons of damage.
Switch skills that are able to let you Evade/Block & lower priority skills that crippls/chill.
Also you need a class or 2 that is Tanky build with skill above.

By the time we think about killing one mob, 4 more have spawned and they also hit like a truck. The real problem is the time between waves, it’s too short.
Our group can AoE down upto the first 3 packs, but after that we fall behind and its death run time.
