I’ve played a kitten tonne of fractals and so far have acquired two pieces of armor. A third of the way to a full set; that’s not too bad right? Except the 2 pieces I have aren’t from the same set. One is a defender piece while the other is healer.
Realistically, even if I eventually get a full set of armor, there’s a vanishingly small chance of it being cohesive.
My question is: is this just how we’re expected to wear ascended armor? In other words, should we just make the best of what we’re lucky enough to find so we can do higher fractals? Cos if not, then I might as well not bother.

Don’t look that much into it.

They aren’t encouraging you to wear random garbage, they’re encouraging you to rage uncontrollably until you get to a mental state of submission, where you will spend your life savings on the gem store and worship the almighty Net of Arena for all of eternity.

Well if you play ele in WvW its easy enough to get a full celestial set, but thats as cohesive as it gets I’m afraid.

Everything about fractals is painful that’s why we do it. That and I need to add to my ring collection

Running Fractals for an ascended set is like refusing to get a job and just playing the lottery so you can have a comfy retirement. Just run Fractals for the fun of it, and don’t ever expect anything good.

Getting Ascended drops is worse than getting greens. With greens, you sell and get gold.

With Ascended, you get stats you don’t want. So either it rots in your inventory because you hope against hope that someday Anet will allow them to be TP’d (zero chance), or you vendor it and feel bad that you just vendored an Ascended drop.

When I said ‘less paniful’, it’s cos I do more or less enjoy fractals. But there’s no denying that the rewards are out of proportion to the time and effort required to complete them.

Fractal drops will sap your will to live twice as hard as crafting did.

I have 1,5 full healer set from fractal…
And i still drop only healer stuff because RNG is fine.
Also apothecary weapons and any stats with healer in them….

P.S: i still hope for the stat change scroll to happen…
