We have been running nonstop with zero wipes until colossus fractal level 12. This is the first boss where we had to give up for the night and lose all of our progress, it was really disheartening and frustrating.

All of our members have quivers with agony resistance. One of us has a ring with +5 agony resistance.

The adds are just way too much of a problem with us.

Fanatics are backstabbing for 10k+. The rest are veterans … the first time we wiped and we came back we tried to clear the room, but the room has about 20 mobs and we are only able to get 3-5 of them killed before the boss is pulled with them (despite best efforts).

We know that the adds re-spawn until we hit the seal. I believe the most amount of times we’ve hit the seal is 2x before wiping.

Does anyone have any advice? =|

Howdy, This one gave our group trouble as well on 14.

First of all if you wipe you can pull the extra adds without pulling the boss given you have someone with 1500~ range (for safety so a Ranger with Longbow or Engineers).

On the second point you are right you need to hit the seal asap to have the least amount of adds spawned. But beyond that what our group found worked was to stick to a corner of the room till we had cleared the adds there and systematically work our way around. In this way we avoided aggro’ing the Fanatics and Veteran Novices that spawned at the Entrance and opposite side until we were ready for them.

Edit for others that read. A Group filled with agony resist is not required. Our group has only 2 players with Rings atm through RNG and well no backpieces. Still do-able

That helps, thank you. We were pulling with a mesmer … ranger wasn’t using a longbow, and we weren’t circling around the room.
