Commander mode dungeons
What a wonderful and specific suggestion! But I feel it will be ignored along with my proposal to add a “Make me happy” button to Guild Wars 2.
I want a /partyinfo tool for my commander tag. Has to show your party members gear, traits, skills, how many times they ran the dungeon, and how many times they lied claiming to be “zerks”.

shivers remind me to never run a dungeon again if that ever happens. I’ve played a game before where you could get that information for every player around you, and the amount of times I had random strangers start berating me for using x or not using y in pugs was huge, and it was mostly people that couldn’t even handle the high-end dungeons themselves, dungeons I was easily playing with guilds and friends.
The gw2 equivilent would probably be talking down a mesmer that uses pieces assasin’s equipment instead of berserker, or a player already adapting to a new and rising meta build because he no longer runs last season’s meta (and yes, I’ve encountered both in gw2 pugs already, even without any tools that make that kind of information readily available.
As for the thread opener, I don’t really see the sense in binding raid-size dungeons (whatever the size turns out to be in the end) to commander tags. If there is such a thing as private dungeons for 2+ full parties, I see no reason why one of us has to spend 300 gold on an otherwise useless (to us) tag to be able to do that content. And how do I even know which commander is going into the dungeon? Will there be a kind of lfg that lists all commanders available?
It’s okay. In Arah P1, I use Giver’s Armor.
Traited for Mantra’s and 3 Illusions (+dmg, -dmg, -mantracd, +toughness mantra charge, mantra heal, +speed). Drop 3 Clones targeting a Drake on the ground (used to use iLeap, now use PRetreat. Aim it so the clone gets LoS’ed.)
Utilities: Signet of the Ether, Stab Mantra, Cond Mantra, Dam Mantra, Time Warp
Spam mantra’s, don’t ever cast signet, use Time Warp when necessary.
Stagger Mantra of Pain charge up to be in between each other Mantra charge up.
Party-wide 1k/s heals. Personal 1.3k/s heals. 30% movespeed. -10% damage taken. +10% damage dealt (deal AoE damage through MoP). Constant +400 Toughness.
And then when all the Champion Entities are done, I swap back to the meta Assassin build.

Sorry for the off…. but
I want SELECTABLE ARMOR STATS now … already have 3 armor sets on my mesmer… and still a lot more could be useful… but those inventory slots… ._.

1 of my 9 armorsets…
“Get a chance for a rare item“ Yes please..
Also would dungeons with lets say 100 people be a laggfest.
Even tough it would be funny seeing 50 people dying at lupi!

Bubble killing 40 people. Only ones alive would be the bearbows and greatsword mesmers. Oh and any good player that saw it coming.

It’d be funny watching him regen back to phase 2 with all the cleric tome guardians healing the main tanks who don’t feel the need to dodge out of the life drink aoe.
If he had no grub cap and targeted players in AoE for grub spawn. Mmmm
Ok, +1 for this thread!
It would be too funny. Kholer AoE wiping half a Zerg, Colossus AoE = masskill..
Maybe even fractals ? Trin AoE phase = fun inc..

I, uh… I don’t seem to understand what is all of that for.

Explaining how “meta zerk” isn’t always the best way for groups unless it’s a true speedrun group where everyone knows how to play full-squish.
And Giver’s armor is one of the worst armors in the game, even for Healing Power and/or Boon Duration.
No, I don’t understand what all of that is used for. That’s what I mean.
Well, judging by the entities remark I guess it’s to lessen the burning effect. I’d rather have the entitites die faster but well, mesmer isn’t exactly the king of direct damage.
I’m yet to see people having actual problems with the damaging stacks as well though, but eh. I guess everything happens.

The Green Light isn’t a problem until it reaches 10+ stacks. The Entities hitting players for 4-8k is the problem. Bad players won’t move or will run into their attacks. The healing acts as a buffer and the MoP gives you your damage, even though it’s not as much as sword auto.
Keeping your group alive/dealing damage will, in turn, cause more damage to the entities than you using a Sword. Also MoP hits 2 more targets.
Well, I guess that makes some sense, ’tleast on a mesmer.
Though my way of fixing the possible issues in the Jotun path is to just solo it to Tar :^)
Yeah, that works. I can do that, too. But connection issues with the current system make it more reliable to go with a kitten y group and carry them than to solo and pray I don’t dkittenil someone joins in.
