Sadly every single one of these posts are 3 months+ old. I would have newer ones but no relevant posts have been made. The only responses that I left out were on the question type threads where a mod would reply "Thanks for being helpful, since the question was answered I am now closing this thread.

On fractal levels 50+

It was never intended that you could get higher without further AR gear that has not yet been released. There was an exploit in the system we were not able to close up until this last patch.

Each new piece of AR gear is meant to allow you to progress to further fractal levels, which have increasingly better rewards compounding with higher scaling difficulty.

This was 3 months ago, since then we have gotten 3 new infusion pieces.

On RNG of rings (yes, the rings)

DR does not affect that reward, and rings drop at higher rates the further you progress into fractals.

On loot nerf

One thing worth checking is what effective fractal level your party is playing at, though nothing about loot rewards in fractals changed, we did change the system allowing what levels of fractal you could play with others which means you might simply be qualifying for much lower fractal levels (and thus loot).
The “level” of loot dropped for a player is the min of fractal scale and reward level. The reward level will still be displayed in the UI as a higher number than the fractal scale which might be cause for confusion, reward wise you’re still earning items based on the actual fractal scale you’re playing in. We display your personal rank because the players are awarded extra karma if there personal rank is over the current fractal scale.
You can add a second person to your list of people getting items, in my two fractal runs since the January release I’ve got an exotic and three rares. So there ya go!

4 months ago, this was why the ice fractal stopped dropping loot in the dark part.

Hey folks,

What was happening here was that some of the mobs were respawning in the dark forest area, and they were dropping loot. This meant that the spawns could be farmed continually in an instance, which is something that poses some danger.
We have the tech to turn off their loot without having to patch. Our next content patch will fix the issue with them respawning, and they will have their loot turned back on then once they can no longer be exploited by farmers.

I went as far page 55 in dungeons to get this information and searched every fractal related post with a dev response. There hasn’t been a single word spoken (in a thread that hasn’t been deleted) about things such as unlocking 50+ fractals, the disgusting rng rate on skins, or any other of the highly debated topics that have been going on for months.

The changes to the dungeon include allowing players to rejoin the dungeon, ability to add new players to the group after someone drops, reducing dc, and many bug fixes. There have also been many nerfs made to increase the difficulty of the dungeon, increasing the amount of mobs spawning, but none of said mobs drop loot.

I’m creating this thread as a means for people to express the things they want heard and hopefully a conduit where someone can help ease the minds of the players, letting them know their voices are being heard.

last patch changes were definitely done to fotm…

20+ runs at least at 38 gave me 1-3 yellows….

6 lvl 38 runs gave me 6+ post patch

Its not RNG….its clear that higher level droplists had issues that were worked on.

GW2 balance:
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

Well, that’s just bullcrap. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the change to rez-tactics for FotM 50+ was made in January at the latest. Since then, we’ve gotten 2 or 3 new pieces of AR gear, with no changes to how far we can progress. At this point, we can’t progress past lvl 50 (completing Maw, I mean) until they un-nerf it, regardless of how much AR they throw at us. . .

And that’s not even touching on the fact that FotM was originally billed as having infinite levels. . .

Right, and that’s why I still get two rare Tridents after every Underwater Fractal. Oh, wait. . .
