Does anyone know if you can complete the same dungeon path on two different characters on the same day to get a total of 120/180 tokens in 2 or 3 runs.

I tried that yesterday and I was excited to get 60 token per run in different toons, to find out you get 60 token for the first toon and 30 for the second toon.

Weird because I have 4x 80 lvl characters and I run same paths of dungeon few times per day with each of these characters and I usually I get 60 tokens even when I did that path already

except the dailies dungeon +40 tokens are not account bound.
if you ran path 1 in 2 different characters DR kicks in. if you ran path 1 2 3 in one character and 123 on another you will get 180tokens each time

this makes no sense. To finish all 3 paths for different characters, would require you to do path 1 for both characters, but DR kicks in and you still get 60 tokens per run?

If you ran it this way; 1a 1b 1c 2a 2b 2c 3a 3b 3c then DR will kick in. But if you do it this way 1a 2a 3a 1b 2b 3b 1c 2c 3c then you will get 60 tokens per character per run.

i just tried it myself, 3 runs of AC story with my mesmer first, each returns 60 pts each. i run path 1 one more time, still on mesmer, earn 20. try path 2 once more, this time on my guardian, and i earn /30/ tears.

so definitely worth doing repeat paths on a different character, but probably no need to run out and train up bench for dungeon farming.

Having 8 lvl 80s in this account, yes i can confirm that this works.

I think what was happening is that you were running dungeons too fast and DR kicked in thereby reducing all rewards you get by half. Same principle as with subsequent runs – reduces it by half, then half of that. Ex (Say DR doesn’t kick in yet for the first two runs of the same path on the same character) 60 > 20 > 10. In your case 60 (which was what you were supposed to get on the alt) became 30. Wait a bit when you notice this till DR goes away and you should get 60 total again (the 40 bonus first run for that alt).

So If I understand this correct, I can run CoF path 1,2,3 with my Guardian and receive 180 Tokens. I can then log on my Ranger and run CoF path 1,2,3 and receive 180 more tokens for a total of 360 Tokens per day? Sorry I’m just clarifying.

From my testings:
Daily bonus is per character per day. You get 60 token the first time you run a path on any character. DR kicks in if you run the same path twice within a limited time (something like 2h possibly) and halves the reward. DR is account bound and ignore daily reset.

Few examples assuming 2 characters A and B.

• You run A1 =60tokens. Immediatly after you run A1 again =10tokens.
• You run A1 =60tokens. Later you run A1 again =20tokens.
• You run A1 =60tokens. Day reset right after and you run A1 again =30tokens.
• You run A1 =60tokens. Immediatly after you run B1 = 30tokens.
• You run A1 =60tokens. Later you run B1 = 60tokens.
