I’ve seen a lot of posts about Druid condi being one of the best in the games but I really enjoy the DD style more. I have asceneded gear (direct and condi) for both my DD and druid but I’m just no seeing any DD love in raids.

Are DD really that far out of raid meta?

Not at all. Their single target dps is still great (even the best?) on small hitboxes. The “problem” is that they have very little other utility compared to other classes. Still doesn’t impact a group if you take one of them tho, no matter what pugs might think.

I usually just ask for dps on lfg when creating a group and i let everything in..I’d rather have a dd or guard who knows the class rather than an inexperienced temp and vice-versa. But it changes from person to person. U can pretty much play both dd and druid with one set so i don’t really understand why you have to choose.

Oh I love you! I wanna raid with you! That’s the mentality that the raid community needs to get behind. Do that, and raids will blow up, I just know it.

I am being “told” that its Condi Rangers that are all the rage. Been asked to drop my druid tree and run with a condi ranger, so look into that maybe?

even though DD is useful condi ranger can also be a secondary druid for mirror comp.

DD has one of the highest dps and it is very easy to play. But it is not a must-have.

Druid is obviously more important to a group and you will always need one and sometimes two.

Why can’t you play them both since you have both power and condition damage gear? Play druid when your team needs one. Play DD when your team already have enough druids.

Good raider really shouldn’t be limited to playing only one class, especially considering DD is so easy to play.

Too bad that raid mechanics are anti-Thief, might aswell delete it and make a Ranger instead, it’s even not needed anymore in fractals, Anet screwed up with this class when HoT came out and I don’t think they’ll manage to fix it unless Ele and Mesmer are adjusted properly.

So yeah, you’re gonna have to wait till next expansion to “maybe” play Thief again.

Actually really nice to hv a DD for xera . xD so eles in group concentrate on xera only while DD looks after shards
