So I’ve been keeping track of the cores I’ve been getting from COE and COF and there seems to be a large disparity between the two. I’ve received 14 charged cores from 130 COE chests, whereas I’ve received 14 molten cores from 64 COF chests. That’s drop rates of 10.8% for charged and 21.9% for molten. I’ve also gotten 3 charged lodestones and 0 molten lodestones over the course of those chests.

I know this a small sample set, but for the molten cores to drop twice as frequently is hard to believe. This also makes farming for charged cores/lodestones for a sunrise grindy as kitten.

I don’t play alot of COF, but yeah I know Molten Cores drop really frequenly.

For me personally it does feel like CoE drops cores less often than CoF but…my party between the 5 of us will usually receive at least 1 Charged Core so…it’s hard to say. I mean…I’ve even had one of my party members receive a Charged Lodestone as a drop from the beginning mobs in CoE…the 3 ice things before the wolves in the very beginning.
