Recently I’ve been trying to get 2-3 CoF path 1 runs done in a day to help gear out my increasing amount of alts. I’ll typically do two runs a day. Sometimes I’ll do a third run. Sometimes I won’t do CoF for a day or maybe two.

Lately, I’ve been noticing I’ll (seemingly randomly) get 30 tokens on my second run instead of the daily 60.

I looked up DR on the wiki. At first I thought I was completing them too quickly.

Well what happened to me today had my head spinning. Here’s my story:

• Two days ago I did not do any CoF.
• Yesterday I did two runs of CoF with my wife, no DR for either of us.
• Today I log in, do dailies on my low level with my wife.
• Switch to an 80 and do a CoF run with her.
• Wait almost 1 hour while taking care of the kids
• We both switch characters and do another CoF run. I get 30 tokens while she gets 60.

Now first and foremost I don’t understand why I’m getting DR at all. Secondly I don’t understand why I’ve been getting DR and she hasn’t been. She never does CoF without me. I play a lot more doing other stuff like WvW/leveling/map completion etc.

Personally, I don’t feel like DR should be hitting me. From all my understanding on the topic, I’m playing within the acceptable scope of play and I am not farming CoF in a way that should be penalized.

What’s going on? Am I overlooking a caveat to the DR system? Any help on the topic would be appreciated. Seeing 30 instead of 60 has been aggravating.

If you do the same Dungeon path twice in a row without a certain time in between (don’t know how long it is) on 2 different characters, you’ll get DR.

For example, if I do CoF p1 on my Warrior, switch to my Guardian and do CoF p1, I’ll get 30 tokens.

If I do CoF p1 and p2 on my Warrior, switch to my Guardian and do CoF p1 and p2 again, I’ll get 60 tokens every time.

Why did your wife get 60 tokens and you only got 30? The DR system is still bugged all over the place. She was lucky, you weren’t.

I find it strange that 45mins in between(finish to finish) isn’t enough time. :x

I think the time is something like 2 hours? I’m not sure though.

That used to be the case but I don’t think that has been true for several patches. Still shouldn’t be true unless the changes got reverted with recent patches.

A couple of weeks ago(should be before SSC) I did a bunch of CoF p1 runs with my warrior/elementalist/thief/engineer/(maybe my ranger too)/warrior again. That was all back to back aside from the time it took to clear the entrance after nearly every run. They all got 60 tokens except the second run with the warrior but that was obviously expected.

I’m pretty sure they’re going to ignore you to death for a support ticket like that…

If you desperately need the tokens, run the path again, it’s easy and fast.. Try mixing in a p2 in there as well. It takes like 10-15 minutes to complete with PUGs. 20-25 if your group sucks.
