As the title suggests, are the Deeply Discounted Fractal Encryption Keys worth it?

Despite their cost (1 fractal relic + 20s; gated to 30 keys per day), I believe will still give a decent profit – but just wanted to make sure.

I buy deeply discounted to open any encryptions I get on my own. Once you factor in the 15% TP fees, things start to lose their profit margins, but if you only open the boxes that you get yourself you can start to pull ahead.

There are plenty of posts on the contents of the encryptions. It’s reasonably well-documented that you get an average of 40 silver in junk per encryption.

• You can get over 21 silver by selling your encryptions
• It costs you 20 silver for the discounted keys.

So you end up with nearly the same coin, regardless of how you choose to deal with it.

It’s up to you to decide whether you prefer the easier gold from selling or taking the extra time to acquire keys, crack the encryptions, open them, and dispose of the contents, for the chance of getting something ‘fun’.
