Time to have some fun in the Dungeons forum!
Most Fractals are currently the model for “good dungeons” in the game as it stands: mobs aren’t typically front-loaded with or entirely composed of “Elite” enemies with stupidly thick health pools, they are succinct, typically rather intuitive to navigate and there are gimmicks everywhere. Obviously, there several fractals that could easily be improved, but this is not the goal of this thread.

No, this thread is to have fun. So here’s your chance! Design your own fractal! You get 1 line for an attention-grabbing introduction and 125 words maximum (use a word processor to keep track) to describe the gist of your idea.
An example:

Stop the graphics in this month’s new Fractal addition: The Tubular Fractal!

The dungeon is an SAB-commercial-inspired version of Destiny’s Edge’s fight against Kralkatorrik. Team up with Radical Rytlock, Gnarlyogan, Caithacular, Zojjocity, Snaffination and Eirlicious in a beat-’em-up dungeon. Dungeon is linear and filled with regular-enemy corrupted mobs punctuated by snappy one-liners from DE members, and environmental traps like boulders, lava pit jumping puzzles and spontaneous corrupted crystal meteors.

Final boss is Kralkadude: a big dragon jumping puzzle full of environmental traps and hazards that lead to the dragon’s neck where you strike for damage. Players on the ground distract Kralkadude with golems in order to coax attacks that expose his weak point for a small time window. Kralkadude’s defeat triggers a cutscene in which DE walks towards the horizon cheerfully until freeze-frame and fade to black.

Maze Fractal

A dynamic maze with 8+ starting points, with different enemies and traps at each turn. After a varying number of encounters, players reach a portal which takes them to the center to face one of three bosses: The Mazemaster, The Puppeteer, or The Chaos Lord. Each boss transforms at 60% health and goes berserk with increased attack speed at 10%(with the exception of The Mazemaster, who becomes the maze at 25%). After the boss is defeated, the maze crumbles away to reveal one of 5 different landscapes from around Tyria.
