Decided to give it another go at soloing AC path 2. Last time I attempted it I got up to the hall of champions and it bugged. This was before the July 2014 patch that supposedly fixed it. But the same thing happened again to me this time.

Has anybody figured out WHY she bugs? Is it due to failure of certain events? I died multiple times on the spike traps before I was able to complete it. Or is it because I didn’t kill Kohler?

And is there any way to unbug her after she doesn’t trigger the event? I tried the old method of getting her killed and reviving her, that didn’t work.

Really disappointed here. This bug has been present for over two years and still hasn’t been fixed. That’s unacceptable.

lols. You must be new here. Long-standing issues like this are well within ArenaNet’s standards for “acceptable”, especially when it comes to dungeons.

Obligatory ANet shaming aside (please, please put together a maintenance team that has the resources to…um…maintain the game!), there are a few strategies to keep her from bugging. My guild usually just clears all the trash on the way to the ghost eater (starting from the Kholer waypoint). Alternatively, leading Detha to the back of the ghost eater room without triggering the defense event seems to work in the PUGs I’ve been in. Once she’s towards the back of the room, lead her to the center of the traps.

Both approaches seem to rely on making sure she is not in combat when the event triggers.

Once it’s bugged, is it impossible to unbug it? I killed Kohler, killed everything in between Kohler and the Hall of Champions while Detha was dead, rezzed her and walked very carefully into the room without triggering any combat and still no luck.

I’m not sure. I’ve not seen her bug in a while, since we’re now very, very careful about entering the final arena. I seem to recall that killing and ressing Detha may have worked in the past, but I’m not sure if that’s still the case.

The only thing I can suppose as it has worked for me is that when you fail the spiketrap-event, make sure that Detha has died before you teleport back, seems like that causes an issue where the event wont reset/resets improperly.
To be safe after that I’d still suggest killing the mobs up to the hall of champions and you should be fine.

Tried again with a friend this time. Died once on the spike traps. Completed spike traps. Teleported to the Kohler waypoint, killed all the mobs on the way to the hall of champions… and bugged. AGAIN. Seriously what the kitten? What am I doing wrong????

Every time my party failed the spike trap, Detha didn’t start the trap boss event.
