A questions to the design/fractal team in charge of this content which is finally on a great situation (Dailies are perfect and we have Ad Infinitum available!).

Would really like to know if the ArenaNet team is planning to release Fractal-themed armor, perhaps even a Legendary armor like the one being developed for raids.

I’ve been suggesting Fractal armor to the Fractals team for a long time. I think it’s on their long-term radar, but I’ve heard nothing specific confirming that they will do this at any point in the future.

I agree with their decision. I would love a set of Fractal armor, but fractals need new content like new fractals and polish to older fractals much more.

I doubt the people working on level design are the same responsible for amor sets.
Occasionally maybe, if there is a task to be finihsed, but you can be relatively sure that the ressources that could go into fractal armor are not distributed to the fractal content.

Besides, what would fractal armor look like? Making armor out of floating rocks sounds like it would get…pretty bulky.

Yes, but the fractal team would still have to design the method of acquiring the Fractal Armor. Whether that is by a collection, reward track, token system, or RNG, they would have to dedicate manhours for fractal armor to the design, balance, Q&A, etc. I would really like fractal armor to be added, but I want the fractal team to keep their priorities straight.

Meanwhile, several fractal weapon don’t even have white trail. Maybe someone forgot to code the trail and just ignore it indefinately.

They will add it, but it will be a PvP reward. Maybe you’ll be also able to actually get it from fractals, but getting it from PvP will be easier and faster. :P

I’ve also brought this up to them repeatedly with no confirmation that they’ll ever deal with it.

I suggested Fractal Armor waaaaay back in the Fractal Collaborative Development thread. The answer I got was “the art team that does armor is the highest demand art team and they spend a lot of time working on stuff for gem store and HoT so they don’t have the resources to devote to fractals.” But that was like 1.5 years ago now so maybe they have more free time? Would be nice for a dev to check in and respond?

Fortunately, having this thread exist and having people post in it saying that they want it actually helps make the case for me to bring it back up to them with additional ammo. If you would like Fractal Armor and a fix for the white trails of the Fractal Warhorn/Scepter/Staff/etc. please post here and let it be known!

I mean this stuff is literally 100% obvious wishlist kind of stuff for those who play fractals, but if it helps to say it, I’ll say it.

While we are fixing weapon trails, the missing trails on all the gold weapons would be nice to see too.
