Wiki page about upcoming changes says that there will be “improvements to group finding tool”, and not that a tool will be implemented.

From as far as I understand English, which is pretty good, this indicates that such a tool exists, and that they are planning improvements to it.
Did I miss this in game, or Wiki is missleading?

If you open up your contacts list and click the tab with the magnifying glass, you can see all the people in the map who are looking for groups. If you set your status to looking for group, you will appear in this list and have a blue LFG icon appear above your head.

People barely use this as it’s not very noticeable or intuitive, so hopefully, the improvements will touch on it.

I’m aware of the gw2lfg.com site and using it. I also use the complimentary android app.
I can barely call it a tool, particularly not a built in tool in the game.

@lightrayne – I knew you can set your status to lfg, and I was aware of the icon above the head, but not the list of ppl in the map.
This hardly a good solution unless your on the map, and in LA it’s probably even confusing, but still, it’s prolly better than nothing.

All the in-game feature says is that a player is LFG, but not what they’re looking for… Awesome

the only time i’ve seen this useful is when farming in Orr. i usually go there solo. so when i see someone with a blue tag, i add ’em. then i can call out in map LF3M and people join up quite fast.

well.. not AS fast now as Orr’s not as populated as it was before. :// good while is lasted. for now.
