Diminishing return on dungeon tokens since Nov, 10
U get DR for each path you do more than once per day. If it’s a path you haven’t done yet for that that day, you should get the full 60. Note that Server reset time has changed though.

No even if you haven’t done that path today there is a chance you get less tokens. No matter what dungeon/path of anything you do if you finish another one in around 20 minutes you will hit DR and not get 60 tokes, even if it is your first time of that day. There is a daily DR, and a speed clear DR. So you hit the speed clear.
That’s not since the November 10th patch, I speed run dungeons nightly with a dedicated group and we always get 45 on the 5th path we do, no matter what dungeon. It’s been like that for at least a month. It happens when you run a 5th path in under 2 hours.
It resets after about 30 min., so usually we either run speed paths and throw in something a bit longer, or just take a break and go eat or something.
I’m pretty sure it’s been like that since they added then fixed DR like a week later way back 1+ month ago.
But yes, my group has been saying forever that it’s dumb that it carries across all dungeons. The original design of DR was to combat any bugs/exploits of a dungeon. The fact that we can run every AC path, every CM path, every TA path, SE1/3, HotW1/3, CoE1/2, and every CoF path in under 20 min., many times much less, means DR is punishing a efficient and dedicated dungeon group.

I am suffering from getting DR on new dungeon paths as well exactly as OP said. To punish players for playing the game and doing what they want is simply not right. So you are telling me I am doing the dungeons too fast and to do something else? No thanks!
I hit level 80 finished personal story….What is there to do.!? I like dungeons so I will do them with some friends! Oh but wait! Don’t do to many too fast or you will be punished! Who the hell in their right mind thought this was a good idea? I accept I will get punished reward wise if I redo a path in the same day before reset but to have that and a so called speed clear DR is unacceptable. So our party runs dungeons too well and too fast so hey we are going to punish you for that sorry! <3 Anet

Which is REALLY not a big deal. Unless you’re one of the people that farm mindlessly and don’t actually enjoy playing, in which case this is the game telling you that what you are doing is stupid.

Deriding someone for playing for loot in a loot-based game is like yelling at someone for driving their car on the street. Since when is it not “playing the game?”
Getting loot via speed-clearing dungeons may not be YOUR chosen style of play (and it’s not really mine, either), but that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it.

^This is exactly what happens with my groups which speed run daily. We aren’t botters or exploiters, we just skip the trash and/or secondary objectives (see: Kholer in AC) which Robert has said is ok multiple times. Overall I think the DR system is an ok idea, however it is sort of annoying that it triggers on dungeons which you’re completing for the first time in the reset.
I would be 100% ok if the DR was strictly there to combat people speed farming ONE path. I don’t really have a problem with this one, but it’s starting to get old having to take a ~30 odd minute break after every fourth dungeon (on average, anyway).

“Slightly less” meaning 75% of our daily dose of tokens and silver just for being a good. Yes, we are punished for being good.

Neither you nor Anet cannot dictate me how to enjoy playing the game. Only I can decide how to enjoy it and as of right now I enjoy farming dungeons fast with a dedicated group of good players. Being forced to take a break every 4 paths is stupid.

They ‘fixed’ that a long time ago.
I didn’t know it was implemented more than a month ago. Just started to get this yesterday. But as mentioned above by others, I still think it’s a nonsense to reduce your reward for doing it fast.
Inevitably you will get better and better in a particular dungeon. Do we skip some group of trash? Yes. Not always, but after doing the same dungeon over 30-40 times, you simply don’t wanna kill every single mob inside. And to be honest, the game shows you it’s not necessary. So you master your class, gear you toon, learn a dungeon, do it fast – cuz you have a nice group – and what? Instead of getting better rewards, you get punished. Way to go!
I agree that nobody can dictate how I enjoy my time playing, but apparently they do. I guess I’ll just have to adapt.
If ANet wants the players to go a bit slowly and still have a sense of purpose, why not putting the tokens back in the mid bosses? Because mostly mid bosses are way harder than the last one (see Lupicus and Ancient Ooze in Arah, or even some paths in AC). Give us 10-15 tokens in the 2 before last bosses and reduce the final amount. Would be a less painful experience. Specially when you have a problematic group or are open to bugs before finishing the dungeon. For instance, Arah path 1, when the other night my group took almost 3 hours to complete (for the first time), killed every boss, included the last one. But NPC “script” bugged and we got 0 tokens.

The simplest solution is to make chest loot worth the effort of killing the bosses people usually skip. I’m looking mostly at Kholer.
But we can’t abide simple solutions , can we?
