Its 1 year PVE is ruined by pvp balance …..

I don t care if its due to players thinking wrongly war is the best class or because its so easy than a potato can use it without any problem…

Most professions can bring lovely stuff to the table in a dungeon. It’s just that, in my experience, you’re less likely to end up with people who refuse to with a warrior.
It’s rare that I find a tanky shout-heal pug warrior compared to the legions of useless bear-bow rangers, life stacking healing guards and mesmers who sit at max range with their greatswords.

Okay, seriously, I tried to build up an answer that you might understand. But that has been so hard, I forgot how to actually care about what I say, instead of just how.

I think the biggest problem is players with club feet.

Warriors have an easier time finding groups compared to say ranger or engineer, mostly I guess because they are easy to play in full zerker, have great self buff and mobility, and while many still think Warriors deal highest dps (I had warriors fighting for cof Gate and arguing with thief on hundred blades dmg…). Although it seems common to stack warriors in groups there’s always need for other classes like Guard for TA, Mesmer for projectile heavy dungeons, Ele for easy AC burrows. Albeit only small specific parts.

Are you maining a Mes OP? You should not need to reroll unless you want the option of having a War for runs or you’re in a guild that requires lvling one.

Warriors are the best class to invite to your pug.

If you invite a ranger expect it to be a bow bear.
If you invite a Guardian expect it to be an awful tank support one.
If you invite a thief expect him to die every 10 seconds.
If you invite a necro… Um mm..
If you invite an ele don’t expect a skilled one.
If you invite an engineer don’t expect a skilled one.
If you invite a mesmer don’t expect them to use reflects.

Basically people love Warriors in Pugs because they are almost guaranteed to be the best spec (Dps is the best spec regardless of class) and it is extremely easy to perform adequately.

If you can find skilled friends, it matters less what class they are.

nowaday people ignore even guard and mesmer is often 5 warriors…
Or just wars and guards for fractal…

If there are only LFG heavy on fotm 1-50 the issue is quite significant and can t be ignored.

You’re always seeing those “warriors only” groups because they take much longer to fill. Every time when i want to start a group i usually post “P1. already inside”, normally the group is filled in seconds.

Most of the ads in the lfg tool dont last much longer, only the path sellers and the “warriors only 5k+AP” persist for too much time.

And most of those warriors only group for CoE are shout heal warriors, they need more healing shouts in order to be able to tank alpha’s aoe.

Warrior is the most fun class to play, imo. That’s why I spend more time on my warrior than other classes (I do/did enjoy engineer a lot, though).

Don’t use anecdotes in an attempt to prove your argument, it doesn’t work that way.

You could also work on your likability and find other non-spuds to play with.

Generally all dungeons can be ran with whatever…now if you want fast and smooth you get certain classes. Generally Rangers/Necromancers are shunned upon because other classes are much better to have.

Personally I ask for no Rangers/Necromancers in my lfg when I run dungeons because most experiences I have had with them they are terrible. Does this make me an kitten? Some might say yes. If you see groups that keep asking for a certain class you do not meet…why not hell idk make your own lfg post? I am sure there are other people out there that would join you.

The rest of the classes are just bad on PvE, don’t even bother creating them

As a thief main trying to do pve content is rough. I am still newer to the fractal scene (hit personal 30 last night) but after looking at guards/warrs traits and talents I feel so useless. Aside from SR and smokescreen thats about all the util they bring to fractals. (aside from 3-4 weapon utils slow/immo/blind/interrupt)

Just the other day I was in a 28 run and somebody commented on “Oh heres a 3 signet thief,” as it would of been 4 signets but I ran SR for who knows what reason.

I liked the thief outlook above “Dies every 10 seconds,” which is true, but I dont feel bad facetanking and getting downed 5 times a fight using d/d when even the warriors and guards are ranged using bow/scepter.

Make your own group. Be it fractals or any sort of dungeons I just post ‘Path X’. That’s it. No classes, no AP, nothing. Just ‘Path X’ and within seconds my party is filled and I’m playing.

Try it.

P.S. Which, as the others pointed, is why you don’t see those LFGs much. They literally fill in seconds and have done so ever since the new LFG has come out.

Hey! I actually like my Necro. I don’t just sit back and spam Aoe. You cant. The cool downs take to long. Maybe when pulling pats but seriously.. who doesn’t? Wor/blades,
Ele/frost bow or earth quake ect, Rang/ Million arrow thing ect, ect. On a boss fight, I get all my bleeds up then run around finding ppl in my group who were standing in fire, red circles, standing in the damage cone of the boss or just dead and clear conditions and/or drop a well of blood to heal them up to avoid a wipe. The Necro… well my style of Necro play any ways, has always been a support charter that reminds me a lot of, dare a say, a disc priest. Do damage, get health, transfer it to your party.

You talk about Necro being brain dead cause they have to think about when to push a button to enter death shroud to avoid damage. Death shroud doesn’t last forever. It runs out pretty quick and if you don’t use it at the right times.. your dead. As a posed to a worrier that doesn’t have to think about anything. Most of there damage mitigation is already built in. Between stacking plate (heavy armour) and other stat’s ect. They really don’t have to think about anything except push button to swing weapon. Now that sounds brain dead.

lol.. first of all. I don’t just run around putting bleeds on the boss. I was really just summing it up cause I don’t feel like typing 6 pages to explain a rotation.

Blizz messed up big time when they decided to cater to around 5 percent of their player base and thumbed the other 95 percent when they released CAT. As a result, they lost aprox 4 million subscriptions over it. Anet has no monthly sub fees but anyone I know has invested some RWM at the gem store for something or another. What happens to Anet’s bottom line when those people that are investing in the gem store quit? Simply because they feel the class they sunk 6 months time into sucks and they don’t want to start over.

Maybe Anet needs to spend some time looking at how to make other classes a little more valuable so they don’t end up with either a server full of worriers or, people that just quit cause they have already invested the time on other toons and don’t feel like spending more time rerolling cause they don’t feel like they help bring anything to the table when they see things like this when looking for a dungeon to join.

In short, anyone dumb enough to be discriminant towards certain classes is going to suck either as a human or a player anyways. Start your own group.

First, its warriors not “worriers”, second, please refer to http://www.youtube.com/user/TurboDzan to realize that you’ve been playing with bad players and it is very possible to run full berserker and rarely, if ever, get downed.

And more importantly, if people would do a simple youtube/google search then they would find massive amounts of videos of people running all classes in full berserker without ever getting downed and providing great team support. a relationship with my GF, get outside for some exercise
and see friends face to face instead of being glued to my computer
hunting and learning all the in and outs of GW2. Spending months
of time and money crafting my legendary weapon just so I can AFK in
LA showing it off or shooting other people with flying ponies. Researching
my toons ability’s to be all I can be in GW2

Other people want to kill the most magic dragon in game
and spends hours upon hours grinding to craft some super weapon
so they can leave cute little rainbows under their feet when they walk.
Boasting about how epic they are and their latest kills.
I could care less … but you don’t see me calling them names
or knocking them for their style of game play.

I play a casual game in a casual guild with a couple of friends.

If I play a little more then with said casual friends, I pug it.
If I want to do a little more then continually wipe, die and spend gold
on repairs, I go support. You will never see me in end content and honestly
…. I really don’t care. Its not going to be my end life legacy.

Its my 52 dollars. I play how I like. If you don’t like it… cry me a river

Perhaps you don’t realize that I go to college, have a job, and still manage to be one of the best players in the game. Most everyone in my guild has a “life,” a job, goes to college or has graduated with a degree already. I typically find that the best players in any game are people that actually do things in real life and are able to apply themselves and understand whatever situation they have been put in, and I also tend to find that forum knights that can barely string sentences together offer nothing to anyone and typically stock shelves at their local grocery store.

On topic, if I pug I would never join “warrior only” parties. “Full berserker+melee only” sure but players that can’t comprehend what other professions can bring to the table aren’t worth grouping with. That said, my hopes are always crushed when an Ele joins and they camp at 1200 range with a staff on whatever stupid attunement with a kitten Greater Elemental following them around.

I just finished the personal story on my full cleric bearbow ranger, so im pretty confident that you dont have to use a class called warrior to play gw2
