Please do something against Arah exploiters. The lfg tool is full of people who exploit their way through Arah and then sell the slots for quite a bit of undeserved gold.
You can also see people selling tutorials for stuff like doing arah p4 solo in 15 minutes or skipping Lupicus. This needs to be stopped as soon as possible.
This also devalues the work of people who do dungeons without abusing exploits.

I am pretty sure in other games people would be banned for such exploits, but Anet is too lenient here.

Not to mention, GW1 had one of the biggest communities of people selling runs, for all kinds of stuff. Anet never cared back then, and have stated on multiple occasions that selling paths is totally okay as long as you don’t exploit.

When they finally fix lupi skip properly you will see a lot less sellers. Which will make everyone in rT a lot happier seeing as we dont skip lupi when we sell.

You can easily tell when you join their group and look at which parts of the dungeon have been completed by the seller. Writing reports is of no use, I did this in the past with other exploits for other dungeons and the exploiters are still happily playing daily (I added them to friendlist to check if anything happens to them).

Unless you have video evidence of the person exploiting then the point is moot. Investigating an account takes time and I doubt they want to waste time on such a petty action.

Your post makes no sense because you don’t have a reason to do something against people exploting Arah. Saying “hey, ban him cause he’s exploiting” isn’t enough

On the other hand, if you said that this is an easy and fast way to get a lot of gold and that may ruin economy, then you would have a point and we could discuss what to do

You don’t get rewarded more for the fact that you’ve passed a group instance solo. The only way to solve this with what we have in our hands is to sell the instance.

Whether the one passing the instance deserves the reward at all though is a different question.

Just curious, what do you guys need a lot of gold for? To buy a house w/o a down payment?

Cosmetics obviously. Were all massive casuals at heart.

I have 6 legendaries and 8 sets of t3 armor. Don’t have an aneurysm.

The people who dont care about the exploiters are probably using these exploits themselves

And the kids that cry about exploiters are either bad and get kicked
at lupi evrytime they join a group or they simply don’t have any cash
To buy arah runs .

I doubt it. With my old guild we did regular Arah path 4 runs in less than 40-50min without exploiting and skipping almost none of the trash mobs.

But for you to be able to do an “almost” full clear of arah p4 in that short of a time, you must have used full berserkers, proper tactics/strategy and group buffs.

When did people get so entitled? When did it become everybody else’s responsibility to make your life a tiny bit less stressful by majorly inconveniencing themselves? I couldnt care less if you hate me. I do not have to post evidience because these exploits exist and should be known to Anet due to numerous reports.

So instead of helping them gather evidence (which is of course required if they are going to mass ban people) you get on their case and start making demands for your personal benefit. Burn in hell you selfish scumbag

I join solo runners in arah p1 daily for the tar boss. I get 1 gold , boss killed u know the drill. I do this like 5 6 times a day, so after a few days i was asking myself : man am i that lazy? all these ppl can solo Lupi , i need to solo it one day ( ive tried 3 4 times failed and didnt try again ). I felt like a scrub.

But on topic, after the solo guy pays 2 players, many times ive had to wait for the 5 mins delay on mail or how long is it. Guess what the solo guys do: they dont go left to Lupi they go right side , yea thats right they skip Lupi.
Now i couldnt care less , i still get my gold, but cmon some guys rly know how to play the game, they solo stuff for almost 1 year now , when most of the players didnt even know how to make a proper build. And now all these punks are exploting and i feel its not fair. If u are that awesome solo runner go kill the kitten mob dont jump walls to get the reward.

And about exploiting , that dude Kripparrian got banned for the video on yt where he explained the karma deal or ghost pepper what was it i dont even care, it was a stupid ban. But Anet said the ban was for showing the “exploit” to other players by posting on yt.
Now how is that different than the ppl “teaching” obvious exploits in arah runs ? or using the exploits by skipping Lupi so they can make some easy gold in 20 min ? I guess Lupicus is there by mistake , then REMOVE IT.

No one is going to hate, we all agree with you (for the most part). Those who skip lupicus and use exploits should be banned. The bigger point is, most of the sellers, including all the ones on this forum don’t use exploits. We kill lupicus (why in god’s name wouldn’t we, he is the only fun boss in this game) and all the other bosses, people join and pay and then finish the last boss. It doesn’t hurt anyone else. It doesn’t deprive any other player out there of anything. It is a victimless not-crime. It’s like saying that using the trading post to sell an item is an exploit because the person buying it should be farming for it with me.

This thread and my post are about exploits and players who abuse them not about “decent” players that kill Lupicus.
I get it that some work, have kids, dont like dungeons, etc. They join the champ train /play the TP/ buy gems and trade for gold so they can buy arah runs for tokens or achievments. I have nothing against that, my rant is with the exploiters and the way ANet deals (or not) with it.

I’m not really sure whether it is really “most of the sellers” who don’t exploit and skip Lupi. Here on the forum, yeah of course, but if I look at my guild, I’d bet quite some gold that all of the handful of people who sell Arah 2 are not capable of soloing him.

As far as I know, skipping saves some time allowing you to finish it faster.

Just looked at the lfg tool and I see 4 (!) entries for groups teaching you exploits. If people think this is ok, it is quite a sad state this community is in.

I think this is ok. Actually I think it’s brilliant and I have utmost respect for people pioneering their own business and making money.

I almost feel like paying one of those guys.

Been soloing paths for a few weeks and I still don’t know a single way to skip Lupicus.

Close, finishing a path generates more gold. So the seller gets gold from the buyer and gold from completing the run, the buyer also “earns” some gold
So 5g, for example, already existed, and went from the buyer to the seller. But 15 gold was generated from dungeon run (3g reward in this case)

True but most sellers only run it once per day. If they had just run in a normal group the same amount of gold would of been generated. Also the waiting around for buyers prevents us from generating gold from other dungeons during that time.

Now you have a good point. If they run with a normal group, the total money is equaly distributed. But if you give someone money, even though the generated money is still equaly distributed, total money isnt because now someone has more money than another person

You got to the important part now. Even though sellers have more money, the same seller doesn’t do that frequently, so the amount of money he gets is somehow limited. They are not capable of ruining the economy now. That may take months, or years.

And if players wait for sellers, they aren’t generating gold either, so there’s less money in the world. Keep buying runs and you will get close to a society where a small group has a lot of money and they control prices, while most people just work hard to buy stuff

Except most of the buyers farm champions all day and make a lot more than sellers.

Yeah, I was eating something (really starving) and thinking about that. We were not taking the rest of PvE into account

Hey guise listen to meee ok. This arah sploits are bad for the community. If this doesn’t stop all of us are eventually goign to start doing bestiality or cause a massive hurricane. Are you listening!?!?! My opinion matters.

Actually solution for this exploits is very simple they just have to reprogram the event chain

For example let’s say you skipped lupi and you want to start arah p2 with killing aplhard but when you reach her event will not trigger because system will not start that event until you return and kill lupi and make the same system for those waypoints=end of exploits

Because those waypoints are the key factor of the exploits of that dungeon

Anet prefers to put invisible walls up to fix exploits though.
