Don’t like dungeons? Hard? Group with me.
Incoming irate tirade of “These dungeons are broken” “I am not going to play artificial difficulty (wtf IS that anyway?) tactics that are there simply because developers are stupid” and lets not forget “You are only trying to show off your elitism and should be ashamed!” “Not everyone is an amazing player and shouldn’t be expected to be to play a game”.
We live in an age where people are allowed to stay ignorant, where it is in fact discouraged amongst them to learn anything new esle they may have to admit their original complaints were a mistake. Every developer to date has coddled this ilk and caved to their demands, simply because they outnumber the real gamers.
Good luck in your endeavor though, I sincerely hope it works.

Inci, i hate dungeons due to their mechanics, but i will be glad to learn and might see them in a different light.
Its not that I dislike the dungeons because they are hard i dislike them because you can easily beat them in thirty minutes and its like a chore rather than an engaging memorable battle. There too easy and bland, once you “learn”(more like die to them once figure them out) the “mechanics” if you call them that it becomes trivial at best. Is there even a fight that has 3 mechanics? usually there one and done or even just auto attacking boss with aoe attack which I don’t consider a mechanic just a aoe attack.

CoE has a pretty interesting boss, as well as Arah. Lupicus stage 2 is how I imagine bosses of the future to be, I’m really excited for the first expansion.
Instead of handing out private lessons, you could get a bigger audience if you recorded a video of a dungeon run. Perhaps with some tips added? I can imagine lot of ppl would like to see this.

Video? no.
There are enough dungeon run videos out there, I’m taking a different approach and so far I’ve gotten very positive results. I have over 30 people that added me from this thread and ask me questions regularly. I’m happy to answer and sometimes take one or two with me in a dungeon to show them how it can be done.
I feel people would get much more out of playing with me than watching me plus a party of great players roll through dungeons. Besides, I reach more people indirectly than just those I talk or play with.
Death is a learning experience
My approach is basicly not telling them the tactics, letting them taste the boss in a wipe and then telling them how to prevent everything that went wrong. People learn alot faster this way.
Last pug group took only one wipe on Lupicus before they figured him out a little. Three people died the next try, but this time I saw them essentially trying the right thing so when I got the aggro I kited him around for a couple minutes while the lone survivor ressed the three dead and we got him into phase 3 pretty quickly.
Why do I do this?
It’s really satisfying for both me and the players to succeed in this way. I really don’t mind taking randoms into my group, because the fact they’re on the forum and asking for my help means they’re trying, which is really all you need to do.
I love this game, and I hate people badmouthing Anet or dungeons because they haven’t adapted to it yet or even tried anything team coordinated. It’s really ruining alot for the community as eventually Anet might resort to making everything easier, when it’s just the players not understanding that failing is a part of succeeding. They’re not used to having to learn the hard way, and I can imagine that’s frustrating.

While I appreciate what you’re doing, the threads QQing about difficulty are the minority, whereas the threads complaining about the autistic DR system are abundant mostly because they spewed non-sense about “playing how YOU want to play” and then screwed power traders, farmers, and speed clearers over. A TON of players moved over from GW1 and have been gutted repeatedly by the new content designers. I don’t have problems with dungeons personally, I do have an issue with kittened rewards and punishing people for repeating the same dungeon. (Account binding tokens was a good move though, so kudos)

I’ve played with people from other servers made on overflow and it worked, that could be a solution.
Though it might just work even without overflow, I’ve joined into dungeons with 4 people from another server who left overflow to get people on their server and myself on overflow.
if you can do CoF path 1 add me up
full exotic necro etc… cant do it with pubs would like to get this path done
