Is it just me or the fractal weapon skins have a less chance for drop rate than ever before the fractured patch. I’m lv 50 fotm, been doing fotm dailies since this new fotm update and not a single skin in sight.

Yes, they nerfed it pretty much.

Yup, they nerfed absolutely everything : fractal skins, infused rings, number of tokens, ascended weapons …..
Overall , they increased difficulty (so they said) through instabilities but nerfed the rewards … wonderful !

Oh we’re making them MORE rewarding they said and a chest to let you pick the skin you want. kittening bullkitten kitten anet

Out of 5 of us we would get 2-3 skins every daily on 48 before the patch. After the patch weve only had 2 skins total between us and they were while we were doing the high 30’s and low 40’s.

Usually do 2-3 dailies a day usually don’t even get a ring. They need to reverse the rewards or no one is going to do this anymore.

So I’ve been doing 28,38,49 everyday since the patch and so far I’ve received 0 skins, 0 ascended weapons, 0 ascended armor.

29, 37, 49 every day since patch. 1 asc chest (w/ kittenty stats) and 1 skin. Rest of my team has had the same kitten luck. Ascended drops seem about the same, we never had much luck with them anyway. But wtb skin drops? Waaayyyyy lower than they used to be.

Not to derail, but Fractal Tonic? Anyone got it other than the guy on reddit?

I’ve run for 30 to 50. Over 20 fractals. Not a single skin. Not one.

I’ve had an ascended weapon chest with Rampager’s stats, so it’s not all bad. Pre-update I’d usually get one every 5 – 10 48s. Sometimes less. The reward has definitely decreased.

Pre-patch the estimated chance was ~24% for 48s, ~12% for 38s and ~10% for 28s.

Post-patch things seem to be about 10% at 49.

It may be worth creating a spreadsheet on this, if someone has the time.

i used to get weapon every 2-3rd lv 48 run pre patch

after patch:
got 2 skin somewhere on the way between lv 30 and 40
0 skins since lv 40, running lv 49 almost every day :/

People complained about the fractal weapon drop rates being too low, so their response is to lower it to the point where skins hardly drop at all.

Haven’t seen a skin since the patch. Anyone see Ascended Armour chests?

The ascended armor chests are present in the API. This means that they dropped already.

They gave us money to daily reward, so it’s only justified to lower the skin drop rate. No, really, please give us back at least the old f48 drop rate. And ascended weapons/armors could be a bit more common too. If you’d remove rings from loot tables to make room for other rewards? Or you’d always get at least ring?

P.S: Please fix dredge. For real this time.

My friend and I do 49 daily. He has gotten 2 ascended weapon chests and 1 ascended armor chest. I have gotten 3 weapon chests and 1 fractal skin. I didn’t do fotm daily pre-patch so I don’t have anything to compare by on ascended chests, but the fractal skins are definitely more rare. The ascended chests are much more common in fotm than anywhere else in the game (never got one from WvW and I play it a lot).

I haven’t noticed any difference personally. I think sample sizes are too small to make a definite statement either way.

I’ve gotten either an ascended box (weapon or armor), infused ring, or fractal weapon each time I’ve completed a 49. I’ve done about 10 of them so far and I’m 10/10. Looks like they increased to rate to me.

Wasn’t running Fracs pre patch but after patch I got to 50 in 2 days, my opinion:
3 ascended weapon boxes (Zerk, Sin, Valk) → useless for me as I already got my weapon sets
1 ascended armor box on the day of armor release: sin. Was happy with it

Skins: 2. Axe (yay) and torch (F*** that).
I want a full frac skin set for my guardian but comparing the droprate atm to the droprate pre patch a full set of legendaries with pre’s given by the MF is way more realistic^^

I’ve been running 36 the past 2 weeks. Not a single skin and a whole bunch of rings. Absolutely useless
