Note: Somewhat new to raids and the druid role.

Is the druid still the main healer after the latest release? I noticed on metabattle that his DPS builds are ranked higher then the Raid Healer build.

Also what stats? maji, clerics, marauder, etc…

Just looking for a little guidance.

Generally speaking it depends on the group, in a pug or lower skill group magi/zealots druid is used as the healing build. In a more experienced group you’ll frequently see condition druid be more than enough with all the other healing going on from other classes also in dps gear. Generally speaking druid is the only healer, Healing Rev, Ele, and mesmer all work they’re just less useful or less dps or just less popular.

So what do you suggestion stats wise? I have full ascended gear marauders and also viper’s for my druid. Can I get away with exotic magi if I have to heal?

Yes, and just a little tip I think it’s Melandru and Lyssa Temples in Orr have exotic armor/trinkets for karma if you have a bunch of that. You will want Monk Runes from Ascalon dungeons though. I’ve been able to heal almost every raid with that(haven’t done Xera yet with druid) though I haven’t solo healed Sabatha/Matthias/Escort/KC either, but ideally you want 2 druids anyways for the damage buffs.

I tested DPS druid with no healing power after patch. The numbers are really low and right now if you want to pump health bars, you need magi or zealot to do it.

So, what should I push for as a druid then. DPS or healing? I have full ascended sets of marauders and viper. I can make another ascended set if I need too; so which is better magi or zealot?

If u wanna be healer go with magi set. If you wanna do condi, go viper. Both are good investment atm. I hv been on magi since two updates ago when anet nerf ele ’s wash the pain
