Due to the need for Warriors
Are they not aware of what a guardian does? It’s right up there with Warriors and Mesmers for dungeoning. That just baffles me that you would be kicked for being a guardian.
So I was just rejected from a team at Lupicus because I wasn’t a Guardian.
You do need some sort of reflect for that encounter to not suck. It’s understandable if they only have 1 slot left and no guards or mesmers.
It is due raw dps, i own a full zerker guardian which is my main, which has 4 ascended zerker items aswell. I also own a full zerker warrior and granted, the difference in raw dps is still insane.
Its no wonder ppl are looking for 4 war, mes groups.
(this goes for cof1 farming, for anything else guardian > warrior due to survivability + ranged. Yes scepter does more dps in pve then rifle/longbow)
Recruiting necros & guardians. Whisper ingame.

They could also let Wethospu alone with Lupicus a few minutes and be happy about the reward without fighting, huh.
I recently got my warrior to level 80 (my sixth level 80) and I still don’t want to play him in dungeons. It’s easier to find groups, it’s easy to face melt mobs (and he’s wearing mostly greens, my ranger is almost full glass cannon with all BiS gear and all my other toons are wearing exotics and my warrior still outperforms them) but I just don’t enjoy it. Spamming greatsword 2, rolling around with greatsword 3, gaining more might passively from a trait on my best weapon than my ranger gets from short duration elite, Rampage as One, it’s just not very interesting to me. It’s sickening see how easy it is to stack might on a warrior and then comparing that to the ranger pet might on crit trait (1 second duration for the pet) or amount of might from Rampage as One (which is easily shut down once the pet dies).
I agree guardians are great (so are eles – combo fields and tonnes of support – and that’s without utility skills) and much more fun to play than warriors. The difference is, the value a guardian brings to a party is through their ability to take hits, support, gather mobs together etc. Warriors just DPS (support warriors, the rarer kind, are different from DPS warriors, the flavour of the “month” atm) and offer little else to their groups. The problem is, the warrior DPS is so great, you don’t need anything else.
the urban legend of elementalist support….
I would put it aside “you are an ele you cannot tank” and “staff meteors deals so much damage”……
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
