Dungeon DR bug is back
yup, the total time we took to run all of the above in the very same order was less than 1hr 25mins, we killed all the monsters in CoF path 2 – that includes everything that spawns in the event where you protect magg.
everyone in our party got 45 tokens as reward.
please don’t punish us for being too good, ArenaNet You also owe me a big chocolate parfait in exchange for the missing tokens.
DR is unfortunately working as intended. You ran CoF 1 too fast and then ran CoF 2 (again too “fast”, faster than the arbitrary estimated time to complete anet set) back-to-back with it. Even though you can legitimately run those paths quick, congratulations you’re still being penalized. Because bots (which is crap or shouldn’t be a reason not to tweak the system) or you must have exploited/skipped your way through it /sarcasm
You can legitimately run all AC paths really fast and we got DR for it. No matter what they say, I still say DR punishes not bots, but instead punishes really skilled players.
I don’t think it ever went away completely. Probably someone at A.net insisted they keep it and they just made it harder to trigger. The problem is good groups can still trigger it quite easily. A skilled group can clear a number of dungeons is roughly 15 minutes each.
It would be nice if A.net stopped punishing players for being good. Farming is being controlled by the fact that second runs give fewer tokens and third runs even fewer.
Similar thing happened to me.
CoF path 1 – 60 tokens
CoF path 2 – 60 tokens
AC path 1 – 60 tokens
AC path 2 – 60 tokens
AC path 3 – 45 tokens
I’d like to say the DR is not simple.
If you do too fast within 2 hours (maybe 2.5 hours or 3 hours),
the next you run will be 3/4.
Another DR is you do the same path,
you get 1/2 of your normal rewards.
