My mate once linked me a Daily dungeon checker for Excel on Reddit. With the new Ascended weapon patch, Empyreal fragments have been added to both dungeons and fractals; and karma has become more difficult to hoard. Hence I wanted to add a couple of columns for karma and Empyreal fragments to the spreadsheet; as well as adding a check list for the daily crafting of Mithrillium, Elonian spool thread and Elder spirit residue.

However the amount of fragments will surely change according to the fractal level and I haven’t done much fractals. I also noticed that the story mode reward is unedited from when the daily rewards were patched to the level on the linked spreadsheet.

I now require help from people willing to confirm or otherwise the following rewards for the first daily run. I will update this post as often as possible to show findings.

Dungeon Story mode gives:

• Karma: ?
• Empyreal fragments: ?
• Gold: 50s

Dungeon Explorable paths give:

• Karma: 1880
• Empyreal fragments: 20
• Dungeon specific tokens: 60
• Gold for all AC paths and Arah P3: 1.5G
• Gold for Arah (not P3): 3G
• Gold for all others: 1G

Fractals gives:

• Normal tokens based on the table on wiki.
• Pristine fractal relics is once per day per tier above 1 (tier 0 =1-9, tier 1 =10-19 etc).
• Karma follows the formula from wiki’s third point.
• Empyreal fragments are entirely uncharted, please post findings from each level.

You don’t get a pristine for tier “0” of fractals. They start at 10.

Dungeons no longer give any karma.

how is this “all of that”? its significantly harder than any content in the game and if you get cliffside/dredge its mostly way longer than 1h. This reward isn’t comparable to other dungeon rewards because 1- other dungeons are easy and 2- other dungeons have a joke reward system even since the added 1-3g per run. Its about time they make fractals worth running,,,, it’ll be 1 year since they exist very soon and we get no kitten from them but useless tokens

Well, yes, that would make fractals competitive. Do you have any idea how many rares I get in an hour of following the zerg temple train while trying to get some ******** dragonite for my ascended weapon ? and champ drops etc I never did this before but this is so crazy high compared to a fractal run that at this point I think the dev are literally laughing at you for wasting your time there.

Arah P2 takes 15 to 20 minutes in an average speedrun group (not pro Dub level) and gives 3 gold etc.

I don’t find his request for FOTM 48 unreasonable when you look at the way the rest of the game rewards you. Why spend time in 48 when basically everything else is 10 times better ?

At the moment fractals 48 is :

A chance at getting a terribly ugly skin you can’t sell.
A moderate amount of empyreal fragment, that isn’t really much compared to spamming dungeons like CoF p1.
1 or 2 gold worth of loot on average, slightly more if you’re lucky with the terrible rng.
Fractal relics you don’t even know what to do with anymore.
Pristine relics you probably don’t even know what to do with anymore.
A very rare chance at getting an ascended weapon with a high chance of having useless stats.
Potentially taking quite more than 1hour if you’re stuck with a mediocre pug.

Why even run fractals at this point. It’s like masochism. I’m still running some to level my elementalist which I consider my new main but god this thing (fractal) is beyond useless. I hate its reward system so much.

I don’t think you should get that much for a 48 daily. Open world farming is pants on head reta*dedly broken, but that doesn’t mean you should just raise all rewards to that level. Pristine Relics and Fractal skins are unqiue to fractals, it’s a reason to do them whether you find them decent or not. I’m in no way going to make an argument that fractal rewards are ok as they are, but I do not believe in just bumping rewards per hour from fractals/dungeons to the same level as open world farming. Open world farming should be nerfed proportionately to the appropriate level of rewards for dungeons/fractals.

And yet, we know this won’t happen. Because ANet really love this idea of ‘time = rewards’, ignoring any idea of skill input being a requirement.

Ok everyone, I don’t care about if it’s worth while or not as everyone has their own niches. This is just for research, let’s keep it civil.

Going back through the comments:

• I should have made clear T0 gave no Pristine relics, which I have rectified.
• If karma is not available in dungeons that means I’ll just remove that category from my spreadsheet.
• Hopefully Empyreal fragment rewards will work linearly like the fractal relics, as that will significantly simplify it all.

Oh btw i got ascended weapon at 48 anyone seen them drop more? I already see them drop a few times.

How do you know the 10% change for ascended box Nuka Cola? Appreciated if some would answer!:)

since the addition of ascended weapons i have done lev48 about 5 times and seen one person get a box. it would be pretty cool if ascended weapons were significantly more common as a drop in high level fractals than anywhere in the game.
