With the Devs removing TAFU and nerfing certain paths like Path 4 Arah… I feel like it becomes too easy to get the Dungeon Master title. The title itself implies that you have MASTERY over the dungeons and not simply squeezing through by begging the devs to nerf the dungeons. I don’t know about the rest of you but I did Arah p4 when it was still hard, TAFU (and so on…). I’m going to reserve judgement but if the devs keep replacing tough dungeon paths I hope they replace them with equally difficult paths.

I should mention that I realize that this is only my opinion. Interested to hear others

People pay to get dungeon master anyway. Not much you can do. I do agree dungeons should be harder and more interesting.

DM was never hard to get in the first place. It’s just a great sounding title that in reality has far less prestige than it sounds. When i first got it, i ran around with it for a week or so, then never displayed it again.

If you did the harder versions of both Simin and TAFU Nightmare Tree for your DM, then you waited an awful long time to run TAFU after completing Arah p4.

I don’t think any decent dungeoneer (or at least on this forum) even uses the dungeon master title, so I see it more as a label of a bad player who wanted a cool sounding title.

I think I’ve got it on purely because I just set it once and then kind of forgot about it.

There aren’t a whole lot of titles in PvE, so there’s both not much of a reminder the feature exists and not much of anything to shift it to when you do remember.

GWAMM is still the most prestigious PVE title in gw2.

Dungeon Master, the one title I wanted is so tarnished now that I won’t wear it.

I definitely still use DM title. Acquired before changes to Arah, etc. I still think it’s the coolest sounding title, especially for a dungeon frequenter.

P.S. I’m much better than “decent”

I put my DM title on right after I got it because I was so happy that I have done every dungeon path in the game. I just forgot about it afterwards. I don’t even believe anyone actually look at my title anyway.

Haven’t been keeping up with events. How did they nerf Arah Path 4?

I put on DM because it represents what I do mostly in the game which are dungeons. Nothing more.

Simin stands around and doesn’t really do anything.

I wish I couldve done TAFU…

It already has little prestige, much like a lot of things in the game, as nothing is really that hard.

I only turn the title on if somebody is talking to me like I’m new because I’m on an alt.

Also, F/U was only recently made more difficult. And Arah p4 awhile ago was changed, so it’s the counter argument to your argument.

There is no prestige in DM or commander tag. You can buy it or you can get carried.
Only you know whether you deserve it or not so it’s no use to say one way or another because on internet, every one is a princess/prince and pig does fly most of the time.

I’ve looked at that achievement quickly. It doesn’t specify Teir 3 does it? Wouldn’t require that much gold if you just user lower tier pieces to advance the acheivement.

You need 1 set of kitten, and T3 for each race. I would have had it long ago, but I have only Norns and Humans.

I do like the title thought. It actually appeals to me more if it is going to be that rare. Hard to say if I’d invest towards that or a precursor at this point.

You’re saying it like having the title “Dungeon Master” means something. It’s not like people will go: “oh, he has dungeon master title. He must be pro.”

So are they going to fix the Twilight’s Idol progression? Because I’m at 3/4 now and the new path didn’t give me completion when I did it. Dungeon Master is at the moment impossible to get unless you already have it.

Not sure devs read the dungeon forum so try to post in the bug or the living story forum.

Titles in general are worthless. Just a string of characters resting underneath your name.

I personally love titles as long as they can be worn to show an actual accomplishment. for example being the first guild on a server to finish a raid in hardmode and walking around with that title made you feel like a kitten. Carving 25 pumpkins in LA doesnt quite have the same feeling. The best title in the entire game isn’t even obtainable in game (GWAMM)
