Not sure how active this is if at all. However I would like to enjoy the pve aspect of the game as well as the pvp. If possible could i get an invite as a student? I have ZERO experience with dungeons in gw2. After reading about the horrors of the lfg button i would enjoy learning from like minded people. currently end game raider in eq2 i know not that big a deal but i do know what it means to do something other and just qq/pewpew

Alright, 2 week old player looking to start speedrunning to get my first legendary. I know the basics for my thief, might stacking, dodging, high sustainable damage etc, all i need to know is the pattern of a dungeon, where to run, where to stack, boss fights, mechanics etc. I’d also get in contact with the PvE community and get some friends there to build a group to farm dungeons with.

I wouldn’t mind teaching Arah. It would give me a reason to get back into the game. I’ll see how busy I am in summer semester.

I used to run P1 and 2 religiously (I can still duo P1 and 2 [ignoring Grub boss on P1] and have soloed every fight on both paths [ignoring Grub boss on P1] although never soloed a full run). I can also do every single run part of P1 and 2. I don’t really do P3 since it’s a waste of time, in my opinion (it’s “easier” than P1 and 2, but it actually takes longer and rewards less, assuming minimal mistakes are made). I haven’t done it in such a long time that I don’t actually know the path well (basically just the mage battle I don’t know how to do since it’s not longer cheese-able). And I won’t bother teaching P4, because P4.

I do use Teamspeak. I have taught the runs and Lupicus fight multiple times. I know how to run the run parts (P1 after Ooze boss -> Entity or P2 after Belka -> Abomination) with Mesmer, Thief, Warrior, and Necromancer (all without the assistance of party members) and can give trait/utility/weapon tips for all professions for the runs and fights.

If I need to do an ingame proof of concept, that’s absolutely fine. I will not say that I am perfect, nor that I am completely salt-free, but I usually am comfortable with runs taking a while or multiple failures as long as I am not stressed.

For now, though, I should focus primarily on school until the semester is over. I won’t be on much except for daily home instance because of school but it should slow down in summer because I can’t go full-time due to course offerings.

I’ve had the game for awhile but I’ve never dungeoned. I’ve been reading up on them and want to start experiencing the PvE side of the game and do it properly.

Would love to learn to run dungeons and fractals as efficiently as possible within the classes I play (mostly thief, remaking ele and war).

Hello, I am a new thief, playing since a couple of months. I managed to get myself in full exotic gear, I can do ok in PvP, but am poo at dungeons and fractals. I can’t seem to be able to avoid damage as good as I should be, even tho I am playing mainly with the shortbow. Always a burden to my guild. I would love to change that.

Where is the Mentor List post? After it’s gone the initiative is pretty much dead cause nobody writes to us (mentors) anymore and guild roster doesn’t tell the small info like what class mentor are we, etc.

Well, I deleted it because it pretty much demands constant update anyways. With me no longer involved in the guild, it’s better to have others re-write up that part and I can give a hot link in my OP.

Sorry, I know I make empty promises about doing stuff after work although things have been crazy at work. :X I’ll do some homework tonite and get a path going for work.

What I would like to do is to chat to all the teachers/mentors ( current and those wishing to be ) and see if you’ve still keen in mentoring and maybe even get to know you alittle better. It will make it easier for me to pass people on to you. I believe work of mouth will be the biggest test for our teachers and that’s how recomendations will come ( and of course the more popular dungeons will also see more traffic naturaly ).
