Dungeon Mentors [Noob]
Hi, I would like an invite to the guild. My IGN is Mila Nightingale and I play on a EU server. I would like to learn how to run Arah, CM, and CoE. Thank you!
I would like an invite as a student please. IGN: Freff. Server: NA
Thanks.
-waits patiently for invite to arrive- I wanna learn speedrun tactics so I can be op zerker elitist jerk.
I like dungeons and Ikea.
aka Cotscene.
Excellent. Now all I need is a zerker speedrun elitist jerk mentor. -Demands to be taught-
I like dungeons and Ikea.
aka Cotscene.
I would join the guild as a mentor (non-arah) for NA.
Mentor name: java.4798
Active dungeons: All but Aetherpath and Arah.
Availability: Usually on 8:00-12:00 PST and after reset
Languages: English
Contact: in-game mail, whisper or forum PM (I don’t check forum PM as often as in game, so whisper me for urgent things)
Communication: Teamspeak 3 is my primary speaking client, but I have all the major ones. I will require the use of a speaking client when teaching opposed to just using chat. It makes things much easier, more personable, and in my opinion fun.
Message: I am very patient when others make it known that they don’t know what to do. It’s better to ask questions than stay quiet and make mistakes. I’m very laid back and friendly, but will always offer advice on how individual players can speed up team play. I ask that people be in at least full exotic berserker gear/trinkets and know the meta(s) for their class (at least at a basic level). Thanks! Have Fun! And lets keep the pve dungeon community growing strong!
About Me: Member of [Last], participated in the [DnT] hosted dungeon tourney on June 28th, I main an ele and am extremely well versed in the class if people are looking for ele-specific mentoring.
I’d really like to learn how to efficiently do dungeons, that way i’m not being carried like dead weight in every dungeon. I’d love to be a part of your guild!
id like to be a part of the guild hey. my ign is Harkon Blade thanks heaps!
I’d love for one of your mentors to help me out with my Arah runs since I don’t have a single clue bar videos I’ve watched and streams I regular watch about Arah!
Could I possibly have a guild invitation? You guys are great!!!
hi, can someone invite me to the guild? ^^ i want to learn to do Arah and TA. my IGN is Arturia Stormborn, i play on NA
I’m a lv80 ele. I play on NA, i want to learn to do Fractals of the mists.
Hello! I would love an invite to better learn dungeons and FotM. I have done all paths and my fotm is at 30 but I am looking to gain deeper understanding. In game name is Gone Elvis and I am in NA.
If Iris ever gets around to putting me up as an Arah mentor…. Sheesh ;P
Mentor name: IvanTheGrey.2941 Call me Ivan or Dan. Either one. Just don’t call me Shirley. (if you get that, you’re automatically awesome)
Active Dungeon(s): Arah. I spend WAAAAAY too much time in Arah. I can help w/ other dungeons, but I would leave that to more qualified people.
Availibility: 1700 PST-2000 PST M-F More time on the weekends.
Language: Solamente puedo a hablar chino. (English w/ a tiny bit of spanish and VERY rusty italian)
Communication: In game, TS or Mumble. All I ask is that you listen.
I love Arah and I love to teach it. I’ll take you through any path from duoing to a full party. Doesn’t matter. I can coach you on Lupi and Arah in general. I won’t teach you the exploits, i.e. jumping puzzles (if you wanna do them, you need to look them up, and tbh, I suck at jumping) or terrain bugs or anything like that. I will teach you all the intricacies of every boss in the dungeon, as well as trash skipping. I don’t care what class you are or your build. I will be only showing you melee tactics however, so be prepared for that.
Come with a good attitude and a desire to get better and we’ll have a lot of fun. Learn from your mistakes, ask questions, fix things. I will quiz you as we go along, as active learning sticks in your head much better than hearing me talk.
One final thing: I will NOT be your duo partner. If you contact me to learn Arah, I will be overjoyed to teach you, but I will not help you sell the path. I do not want to profit from teaching, and I’m not bringing you through the path for the sole purpose of making you money at the end. If you tell me that you want to, for example, duo p2 and sell the final spots at the end, our session will be over. If you want to learn the path to sell it on your own, all the power to you, and I will help you learn it to the point that you can.
See you in game!

I’d like to join, dungeons are my favourite part of GW2 and I could really use the mentoring. I’m fairly new, so any ele help would also be appreciated
Hey Im looking to join as i need to find a group to run Arah p4 to finish my dungeon master.

hype over.
Hi!
I would love to join as a student. I have a level 80 ranger and I’m a newbie when it comes to dungeons. I’ve only played a few dungeons in story mode, but I’m really interested in learning how to play them. I’m on EU server.
Hey guys, I’ve sent you the invites. Please check. Thanks for your interest.

I would like to learn the efficient ways to clear dungeons. (Stacking, skipping, etc.) I’m a full zerk warrior on NA server that has a good idea of game mechanics and a little dungeon experience. I’m really interested in learning
Hey, looking to become a student to learn Arah. IGN is Homiegsb.
Hello,
I would like to join as a student. I am new to all dungeon paths except for AC1,3 and really want to learn to do them.
Thank Iris and all the mentors to offer the useful help for newbies.
Hi !
I would like to join the guild as a student because i’m a complete noob at every single one of them. But I want to know them better and run them as efficient as possible in the feature
I’m in the EU
As said last week, I’m on hiatus for the week-end and until tuesday…
Hey there, I’m interested in joining as a student.
I’ve been playing since the beta weekends, but I’ve never actually done any dungeons. It’s partly that I’m a naturally anxious person and don’t like to do things unprepared, but some of the horror stories I heard at launch didn’t really help that.
I’m in the US.
I’d like to join the guild. I can teach a few different dungeon paths but wouldn’t mind some refreshers on others. The only paths I haven’t completed at least once are Arah explorable paths and Twighlight Arbor Aetherblade.
I too require training in the dungeon arts. Please invite me as a student.
Hi! I would love to teach people dungeons and fractals (i loooooooooooooove fractals). I don’t have much experience in Arah because it’s frightening and I hear horrible things happen there. I live in Australia and am online a lot. More than happy for you to send me an invite or to hit me up in game. (Account name yourheartliess.1968 or Golden Swatch)
Hello,
I would like to join as a student. I am interested in arah explorable paths and how to complete them.
I’m from EU.
Hello!
I’d love to join as a student. I have a particular interest in Arah exp (never been there) and CoF (haven’t been there since speed runs were implemented), but I’ll take any experience that I can get.
IGN: Kazurae, Server: NA, Class: Mesmer
Thanks!

A few minor things – Lilith is a death and taxes social member, not an actual guildie so I’d remove the tag next to her name, dankies (Tree) doesn’t really play any more so I massively doubt he will be mentoring, guildwarsfan and no pulse aren’t in the guild, though mugiwara is. As far as I’m aware, the KING fractal guide for uncategorised fractal advocates exploiting if you can’t kill old tom and their ascalon video had like 50 retakes to account for wipes so I’m not sure how reliable they are as guides.
1. Lilith’s case: I’ll remove the tag then
2. Tree, Logan, Leo: I thought they’re still actively members of DnT. I personally haven’t seen Logan and Tree for awhile (due to my stay in EU) so I’m not aware of their availability. Will confirm with Nike later. Edit: Updated their tags/availability
3. KING fractal guide: Until a better guide shows up, they are still an invaluable resource for fractal beginners. DEKeyz’s guide is included in her Elementalist guide (and quite specifically for elementalists only). So I’ve been hesitating to show them exclusive from her guides.

Also for me, I’m also a fractal mentor.
Thanks iris for updating
And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
Our blood has bought their lives.
You’re right. I’ll add them, since they cover more than just one profession’s perspective.

hello I’d like an invite please
Oh also Iris if you could put LittleLepton as a general eu and low level fractal mentor that would be appreciated <3
And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
Our blood has bought their lives.
I’d like to join, but I’m not totally sure how to classify myself. I’m definitely a student when it comes to most dungeons (especially Arah and TA, where I have virtually no experience…there’s at least one Arah path I’ve never done and the others have all taken me 50-100 minutes with any guild group in the past).
However, I’ve completed (numerous times) fotm 50 on my mesmer, usually with no major issues, in pugs (although I haven’t done Mai Trin on a scale higher than 29 since her recent buff so idk how I’d be there now). Since I have 50 AR just on my main jewelry set, I’ve also run lower scales up to 38 a few times on my warrior, and in the 20s on my guardian. None of my other classes have ever been in fotm but they’re all level 80, and most have access to good gear (especially since ascended became account bound).
I have both light and heavy full ascended zerk sets, Bolt and Twilight, plus an ascended axe, scepter, focus, hammer, sword and pistol (all zerk). I also have an ascended celestial staff (don’t ask, I didn’t know what I was doing and all those numbers looked so exciting). I haven’t started any medium ascended sets yet but I plan to, eventually.
I guess what I’m saying is that in fotm I’d be an advanced student, possibly a mentor in training, especially for lower levels, but the meta tactics and tricky stuff that the high end speed clear teams use is generally beyond me.
In fractals I typically bring my mesmer (always for 40+, as that light ascended set has a bit of AR in it, in addition to the 50 on the accessories). In theory I guess I could bring my ele for anything 49 or below, but I have very little experience with the class. I’d like to practice more but I don’t want to handicap a pug in the process. I’d also like to learn to do it well on a guardian, warrior and thief.
In dungeons I typically bring my warrior (I get as close as I can to the setups in Nike’s videos but I typically run Phalanx Strength since I don’t often run with organized meta groups).
This is already becoming a wall of text, so I guess if you don’t mind sending me an invitation I can explain more as situations arise. Thanks.
ETA: I’m in NA region. If you need a character name, Gorilla Biscuits (my warrior) is the easiest for most people to remember and identify. Thanks.
(edited by Prince Rogers Nelson.7652)
I’ll sign up as a mentor, for the dungeon category only though as my fractal experience is nowhere near where I’d feel confident enough about that I’d be giving people the best advice possible.
The 2 professions I can absolutely guarantee top-notch advice about would be Warrior and Thief as those are the 2 I’ve played enough. Though I’m very familiar with the remaining professions theoretically and extremely capable of pointing people in the right direction in terms of builds and variations of the same, just won’t be able to share those nifty tricks like I will concerning warrior and thief. I’m absolutely against exploits like no-clipping, arah skips with experimental rifles and all others that would break away from the intended game mechanics.
I play in the EU region, I’m probably always available to answer PMs and questions apart from the rare occasions when I’m actually doing something that requires my full attention. I’m more than willing to help people put what they’ve learned in theory into practice by helping them through dungeons step by step and making sure they know what they’re doing and why they’re doing it so they can become as autonomous as possible. Checking back on them later to see how they’ve improved is also something I’d very much be up for, I don’t think there is anything more rewarding in this initiative than seeing people you’ve connected with achieve the goals they set for themselves.
Feel free to contact me to set up a trial and to discuss in which category of mentor I would be best placed.

Hello. I’d like to join, and learn the ropes of all of the dungeon paths (as well as complete the story mode).
I’ve only really run CoF path 1 with a friend, and know that reasonably well (aside from dodging the rolling rocks).
i’d like to join as well as a student
Hi, being a total noob for dungeons I’d like to learn at least some basics… for any dungeon, tbh.
I play on EU.
Think I’ve done this right?
Region: Europe
Mentor name: Eire or Pain whatever suits you :P
Active dungeons: Arah and fractals
Availability: Throughout the week.
Languages: English
Contact: In-Game Mail.
Communication: Party chat or TeamSpeak.
Message: Players must be using current meta builds and gear
I am most experienced with Warrior but I play other classes so I know what a class should be using and when besides necro, engineer and ranger.
My twitch- http://www.twitch.tv/painspath
I’d like an invite. Just started playing again since a few months after launch. Looking to learn all the exp paths. Thank you.
I’d like a student invite please. I’m EU based, started playing a few months ago and would like to try out dungeons, starting with story-mode/some of the easier explorable paths, and working up from there.
I’d like an invite too. I’m on EU and started playing at launch but took a break. Now I finally want to get into the part of the game I ignored for a long time.
May I be invited as well? I don’t play much but I’d love to learn how to run through dungeons on my engineer.
Thanks!
Hi,
I would love to learn how to run dungeons with my Warrior. I am almost level 80! and has not yet ran one dungeon yet
Thank you
Hey I would love to get into this if possible. I’ve always liked PvE in mmo’s I’ve played but I struggled with GW2’s. Something like this would be perfect for me to learn how its done!
