I’d love to learn to do dungeons, the last time I was in a pug and we got wiped so many times I lost count :-(
I’m a new player (I’ve being playing gw2 for about 2 months), open world pve content has been “easy” for a while now, but dungeons seem to be an entirely different matter.

I’d like to join as a student, I have a lvl 80 warrior. I’m in EU, on the server Desolation.

I have a few questions:
- If I am admitted into the guild, do I have to do dungeon runs immediately, or can I be “inactive” on that front for a while? Because I have had internet speed issue on these last days, and I don’t want to became a problem for the group because of the lag…!
- Do you guys also do story runs?

You do not have to participate immediately. You may ask mentors for help at your leisure.

We do story runs if asked! Most of us have plenty of alts who could use more story modes!

I will definitely add you if no one else does next time I get on. I am thinking about doing an Arah story run soon, if you’re interested, I can start planning it on EU for some time soon.

Can I apply as Niche Thief mentor? And Arah mentor? I’m not sure how meta mentoring works as I don’t have a group of 3 other meta players to play with but I know meta strats/builds for warrior/thief/guardian.

No. I went in and deleted niche mentor in the meantime. We need the eu and na student differentiation. If we need a niche rank then we will have to split the guilds.

If you want to be a niche mentor (I have no idea what that is or who thought of it) as of now you should be in meta until we decide to split the guild.

Ahh, yeah I was just looking at the front page here and it looked like from the descriptions “Niche” was Profession and “Meta” was more towards groups /shrug.

Either way, just want to drop a thanks to all of you who run this stuff, it’s a nice thing. I’ve talked to Ivan already and I was grouping with another the other night from noob in Arah2, it was fun.

The trouble that comes with having a limited number of different ranks. :/

Every group I’ve been through the dungeon with hasn’t succeeded at these attempts. The only character I have is an engineer, and I need to know what role the engineer usually plays in dungeons. Also I need to know which professions I need in the group to have, I know ranged would have to be best. Finally, what skills should my engineer have for Arah? Also my character is Golden Nightshade if you need to know my character name. Also, if you have any other tips for facing Arah, feel free to tell me please.

Also, folks, I’m doing a level 20ish fractal mentor run tomorrow. NA, around 10PM EST. I have a couple people interested, but please let me know. For other mentors, around 6PM EST I’ll be doing a 49 and then a 38. So If you’re interested in doing some higher level content before any teaching duties, let me know!

Oh and please, everyone, be aware that one of our mentors is teaching arah for capable folks this weekend! So let’s see yall master the somewhat endgame content in lieu of fashion shows.
