Dungeon Merge LFG Tool (Get rid of it )
For heavens sake could you please get rid of “Merge Partys” – In my eyes all this tool does is cause frustration for those either selling paths or groups of friends that eg. 3man a dung to the end get someone on the LFG then they merge chucking you out. As i said i dont feel as if this is a benificial thing to be in the LFG tool. Im requesting that this is removed and hope that others would agree with me.

bloodfanger, look at it from ANet’s point of view. They’d have to, like, disable a button in the UI. It might happen someday, but it’s gonna take a lot of work.
And yanno, they paid somebody to write the logic for merging the parties, buggy as it may be. It would literally be a waste of money if they just took it out.

Sorry man, Anet doesn’t have the resources to disable it.
One of the blog posts coming for the April Feature Patch is called ‘Looking for Group?’.
So if that doesn’t adress it I wouldn’t hope for an update on it until AT LEAST 2039.

“Due to an overwhelming number of community complaints regarding the LFG tool function, we’ve decided to overhaul the way that parties are formed. After reading months of player feedback we decided that party creation was too complicated a feature for many players.
The new system will automatically ensure that every player is at all times in a full party of 5 random players. We feel that this will alleviate the confusion and difficulty many of our players are experiencing. We are also believe the ‘merge’ option was a confusing addition to the game and have removed the option from the LFG tool. Instead, parties will randomly be merged to ensure that every player in the game is, at all times, in a full 5 player party."
