I don’t have any idea on the stir this will cause, but for all means here it is. The gold rewards at the end of the dungeons aren’t that bad. Yes anet nerfed tokens which is bad, but the gold is not a problem. If you go on LFG and get a group for any dungeon and ask around and keep asking around eventually you will develop a core group of guys that you can run dungeons with and make 20g+ easy from doing some dungeons and then go do some champ farming or diverse yourself in the game.

And even those people who are dungeons all the time or nothing (like me) you will find repeating paths aint all that bad becasue some times those rewards chest can be really worth it and if you got a good group for CoE just spam the kitten out of that for Cores/Lodes and make a butt lode of money

Thats my take on the new change. What do other people think of it?

The problem people have with the gold rewards (for the most part at least) was the lazy and frankly arbitrary way they assigned the amounts. The rewards themselves arent terrible, but its soured by the fact that there was clearly 0 thought but into it (the system implies, forexample, that SE path 2 is of comparable length and difficulty to CoF p1) The tokens were for many people unexpected, ands its made running with alts completely pointless rather than somewhat less lucrative. I cant speak for everyone but I know at least in my guild if I’m not doing dungeons at reset its much more difficult to get a group together.

Pugging just got worse. Which is good, I need more discouragement to stay away from them. My pug addiction, thinking I can find a good player in a kitten haystack is starting to die down due to this.

I have now lost a good reason to have 2 guardians and 2 warriors.. but oh well, at least I can have em for different builds and experimenting or something..

And running with a good team just got better Rolling in the moneys ^.^

I am making 25g+ each day ranging 10-20g more if I spam CoE. Kinda makes my alts useless though aswell Swift. But then again I get to play my main more xD.

It’s likely since before we had PuGs who dedicated themselves toward a dungeon so you can expect at least some of them to know it.

Now on the other-hand you have baddies flocking to Arah expecting easy money. It’s impossible to get p1 done under 1hr since there’s always someone who doesn’t know how to run past first pack of mobs AND you have to spend time at every event to explain things to them. And on one occasion on p3 after pulling Crusher out all by himself, the warrior holding predator and mesmer holding bifrost of course didn’t want to melee so they ate shockwaves and died without even immobilize for an excuse.

So for now I’m content to just farm gauntlet until the pugs get better/the baddies who don’t want to learn drop away
