I thought ANet said they wouldn’t be putting one in, just better LFG functionality.
They have to be careful though, otherwise this will just end up like WoW, where people never congregate anywhere and just show up in the LFG tool. Kinda killed the community spirit.
xD its amazing anet is sooo useless.. cant believe they havent just outsourced the project of lfg system and just gotten it made… its a kittening joke of a firm to see them acting like this towards this issue -.-

thats not an lfg problem thats an issue with reward for content OUTSIDE of fractal and dungeons…
if there is no content which rewards you what you want outside of dungeons or fractal you will only do these two and just hang out in lion the rest of the time waiting for groups

Regardless, it absolutely is a problem with having an LFG tool. It takes away the incentive for people to congregate anywhere in order to group up. Personally, I’d like to see the LFG tool work AT the dungeon, so that people congregate outside of wherever they want to run in order to LFG.
I’m sure people will disagree with that idea but I’m just focusing on keeping the community aspect intact.

That’s not really what the issue with WOW is. Their problem is everything is cross server in a game that isn’t meant to be played cross server (different from GW2) so people just don’t give a crap about anyone in their group, they just faceroll the content to get the reward and move on.
Whether or not that would happen in GW2 I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure ANet has already said they won’t be developing a tool that automatically finds a group and drops you in a dungeon, so this theorizing is kinda pointless.
Not to mention, there isn’t anything else to do in that other game but wait for your instance/raid so of course people would just wait around in a capital city til they happened. That game is completely different from GW2. Giving us the ability to look for people to party up with outside of either the dungeon itself or Lion’s Arch would actually be a wonderful thing, as it would encourage us to still get out there and do events and whatever while waiting for our groups to form.

This was already the case with gw2lfg.com for the most part, aside from people killing dragons maybe.
ANet just changed the non-dungeon content to be more attractive…we’ll see if it’s attractive enough, or if I open gw2lfg.com every time I load up gw2
