-Increase the liquid gold reward by 100-200% from what it is now.

-Add mistlock instabilities to all explorable paths (you deside which one is more fitting to each dungeon)

-Implement a system where the door to the bosses will not open unless every single previous trash mob in the instance has been killed.

-Once a party has completed all explorable paths of a dungeon, a chest will appear with raid-like rewards. (1 week cd)

-Lower the party limit to 3

PS: The chest to raid like rewards is different for each dungeon, meaning you can get up to 8 per week. The chest should contain rewards similar to raids, including some currency that lets you buy ascended gear.
Dungeons that physically require more than 3 ppl should get tweaks…

Sorry but this would never happen as dungeons are so easy to just duo for the most part, even solo. It would also completely I invalidate raids, something they really want to push people towards and is a major selling point for HoT. And trash mobs aren’t hard to fight, most of the Time I find it’s even easier to just fight and kill them than it is to try and run past, doesn’t take much longer anyways and it’s not like you have limited heals or anything in this game.

Sorry, but dungeons are dead and only reason to run them are for skins or legendary requirements. You’re better off pleading for more fractal stuff

I think people just haven’t realised what abandoned content actually means.

They have literally NO ONE working on dungeons. They do not care about dungeons. They do not care about improving or changing dungeons. Dungeons are DEAD.

It’s not about rewards or lack thereof or balance or difficulty. It’s about the content not getting supported any longer. If it wasn’t for the story mode being an integral part of the GW2 vanilla lore, I would bet arenanet would have removed the content completely.

Sorry but this would never happen as dungeons are so easy to just duo for the most part, even solo. I hated dungeons because they were so easy and only being farmed for gold.

Although its wasted content and it could have potential.

Dungeons are solo/duo ran because of skipping mobs. I don’t think 3 man legit runs with mistlock instabilities would be easy. maybe they could also increase the mob damage and put timers on end boss fight, I don’t know it was just a suggestion.

Dungeons were one of the worst instanced content I have ever seen in an MMO.

If I had to pick between abandoned and the way they were pre-HoT, I’d pick abandoned a million times.

Dungeons could be summed up to: Skip everything, race to the boss, stack in a corner and ice bow it down, repeat.

“FUN” !

And Nike is right, at least if you have the recipes it’s still just as profitable as it always was.

TBH, even without recipes its still “worth” it. Objectively speaking the gold + fun / time = still good.

The problem is looking at it objectively is impossible for most people because all they see is less gold than before.

Just because an activity used to be more profitable and is now less profitable doesn’t mean the remaining profit isn’t good. Its still worth doing dungeons, and I consider the recipes a bonus for dedication.

For people who say “blah blah recipes are RNG blah blah” the difference is the recipes are powered by currency you can save. Maybe it takes you 200 runs of Arah p2 to get operatives creed. By the time it drops you’ll have 1200 arah tokens and can make 6 of them. Which is the exact same amount you could make after 200 runs if you already had the recipe. So either cash out now for ecto, or save the tokens until the recipe eventually does drop. It’s not like you lose anything.

Just because an activity used to be more profitable and is now less profitable doesn’t mean the remaining profit isn’t good. Its still worth doing dungeons, and I consider the recipes a bonus for dedication.

Some dungeon path actually give us more reward than they used to. The direct gold is less true, but with the inflated price of some low tier material (needed for ascended material) and the power creep of the elite spec with boost the speed at which we can complete these dungeons. The reward per hour is double of what it used to be.

With winterdays and not enough time, we weren’t able to test all dungeons path. But so far TA and CM are very profitable. In the order of 10 to 20 gold per hour with a normal group non optimized.

A few dungeon specific drops are way more valuable now. I sold a Fiber Splice for 11g the other day.

Also, aside from the obvious (dungeons have been abandoned) this concept sounds interesting. I’d leave the party size as is, and certainly not increase mob toughness or health.
