Dungeon running/skipping content - LOOT
Another player who thinks their way to play is the only way to play. Not sure how much attention you actually pay to the objective log in dungeons, but a lot of the ‘objectives’ are actually optional, as they’re presented as ‘bonus events’. Some people actually enjoy skipping things, running past content to get the end chest as efficiently as possible. It’s a completely legit and viable way to do dungeons, assuming no exploits are used.
Don’t use such big generalisations. Just because you don’t like skipping things, doesn’t mean everyone shares the same view. I agree that for those who enjoy clearing all content, it should be more rewarding, more enjoyable for them. But there’s no need to cripple the enjoyment of the players who enjoy getting the end chest as fast as possible (legit, of course).
This of course has been stated by ANet developers several times, which you would know if you bothered to read around before posting complaints. They do plan to upgrade the loot system in dungeons and general PvE. They do know that there’s currently zero incentive to kill side bosses such as kholer, other than to get a waypoint.
Patience.
Actually normal PvE gives you even less ..
I really was shocked how much money you can made in dungeons, without even taking in account you also get tokens for a free exotic armor >_>
If something needs fixes is normal PvE way before dungeons imho…
I did 3 g in 2 runs yesterday :| i did the same amount in many days of pve…..unless i farmed orr where i did less the same…
So in dungeon i kill everything i can…
Also remember that they already said they will check dungeons AND loots…..so these threads have already an answer.
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
I agree with you that the option to skip content for the players who want to reach the end fast shall be there, cause some players enjoys a fast dungeon, etc. I have read around that Anet is looking into the issue, but couldn’t find a thread spesific enough in my opinion. The fact that 95% of all people doing dungeons wants to run and skip content, makes me sad, and half of the times people die, people leave, we replace, somone doesn’t have stability and we get stuck before end boss, people insist to try run again. The thing I enjoy the most is having people trying to overcome the challenge given to us as a group and get rewarded accordingly, and that aspect of this game is totally broken, when one wants to reach the end chest fastest way possible, there is no community, you play for yourself, and that is against everything Anet stands for.
I don’t really mind skipping, however what bothers me is the solo-play attitude. Lots of enemies have snares and what happens when someone gets snared?

But yes, improve rewards and people get incentive to kill them.
skippers always tend to wipe on the trash pulls that cannot be avoided.
Last week someone in my party got a Dredge Breastplate (exotic, normally costs 330 tokens) off a boss during a story mode run. I think people hate the low drop rates and just want to get their guaranteed tokens as fast as possible sadly.
