Hi all

I recently bought the game and am around level 35.

I got some in game mail about a Dungeon (can’t remember the name) in the Plains of Ashford, but the problem is, the server I am on (EU – Vabbi) and it is totally dead for mid level play. I am seeing like 1 or 2 people in every area I go to.

I cannot find any sort of LFG tool in game, and when I shout out in chat, there are no responses.

I was wondering if there was some way of getting some newbie-friendly dungeon runs? Or do I have to wait until I’m level 80 before I can do any dungeons? I know guilds are a way to get runs, but I cannot find a list of them and there are no shoutouts that I can see in the major cities for recruitment.

Is the server I’m on completely dead?

I don’t want to be forced to pay the same amount of money for a server transfer as I did the game, when it’s unclear on the actual playercount of the server when you select it.

You can guest onto other servers. Just be aware that you cannot do dungeons with NA players since it doesn’t work.

gw2lfg.com is the best way to find a party until ArenaNet implements their own LFG system.

As for the Dungeon you probably are talking about the Ascalonian Catacombs. That is the first dungeon that you will get access to. Unfortunately there were some changes to that dungeon a couple of updates ago, and it has limited the amount of people that run it. That being said you have 2 options.

Your best bet is the Third party tool GW2LFG.com. You can post there that you are looking for a dungeon run. Keep in mind to make sure you post in the EU section.

Your 2nd best bet would be to join a dungeon guild on your server.

lions arch is where most guilds post in map chat to recruit. Depends how active your server is though.

Assuming it is story mode that he wants to do, it’s fairly easy to find a party for story. But it most likely won’t be a pretty experience if you end up in a party of inexperienced level 30’s.

Guesting automatically happens when someone on another server enters an instance. You must be in the same area with the entrance to the instance (Plains of Ashford for Ascalonian Catacombs) to get an invite to join. As long as they play on an EU server you automatically join their instance, even if they are on another server.

You can also guest onto another server if you want and do map chat shouts.

Either way. Normally you recruit or join a party and wait till it’s full before entering. But if someone leaves during the instance, you can look for another player to join. And yeah, players can join your party and do dungeons with you as long as they play on an EU server.
