Hello,

Has anyone else noticed the dungeon selling trend that has been arising in LFG system? In last month LFG has completely gone downhill for me, there is weird trend where a player would enter my LFG, cancel the group search and exit. Somehow these two seem connected.

Secondly: people joining your party then leaving has nothing to do with dungeon sellers but probably more to do with either your level, achievement points, or a lack of communication.

Its not that they enter and leave after we wipe 60 times (exaggerating) its that they enter I say hello and they leave, my is LFG is canceled and I start from zero (its not a problem as much as it is annoyance as there is no message about it and sometimes I find myself just standing alone for few min). I am level 80 guardian, I name my LFG entry “open for all 80” . I don’t do zerker speed runs.

How much AP do you have? Sometimes (often) pugs avoid any players with <2k AP.

Some people are dongs. Unrelated to sellers, though.

It is possible that it’s because of AP as I don’t really care about Achievements that much. I have about 3000 AP.

I don’t think AP is a good metric for judging a player, but it is possible that for Arah some or most pugs have high AP standards. I’ve seen groups asking for 10k, but I thought the typical was 2k. So if you’re at 3k, I’m not sure.

There’s nothing wrong with it assuming no exploits are being used. Highly skilled players should be rewarded for being able to solo legitimately. That’s my opinion (and Anets).

I do that.
I join, i see a <low lvl, staff guard, gs mes, bearbow…> i leave. Ppl do that on my runs too. Nothing to do sellers.
And selling is legal, it does not break your game experience. I would buy if i was not poor.

What’s wrong with dungeon selling? If dungeon selling was illegal then so should selling anything that you can get from the living story, all the black lion weapons, or anything that you’ve worked for to earn. Hey, that’s just my opinion though.

Well, people want to get paid for the hard work you didn’t have to do. Or you really thought that they would give you free tokens/gold?

Think of it this way. I go to the TP I want a few more Powerful Bloods to make a new set of gear for an alt. I toss a few gold at the TP and I get my stuff.

Now, what is actually happening? Well people are doing content and what not, getting Powerful Bloods to drop, throwing them on the TP and then I buy them. In a round about way I’m paying for their services. And thus not much different than paying for someone to solo/duo/trio a dungeon for me.

It’s simply payment for services. Some people feel you should earn your own dungeon tokens and what not, well sure, but I could say the same about Legendaries/precursors/exotics/whatever couldn’t I? It’s just an opinion.

People buy them for many different reasons. Some don’t want to take the time, like an Arah PUG might take an hour or more to get through where buying it takes a few minutes of doing nothing but sitting there. Some People buy them to level, sure you could do dungeons and swap but personally I think it’s pretty rude to expect people to hold the video at the end for you in a PUG group so I would never ask people to. Then there are those who want the dungeon master title without actually being a dungeon master… that I don’t like, but /ehh whatever.

There’s really no good reason it shouldn’t be allowed, and if you don’t approve just avoid them, it’s pretty easy.

If you are low level or very low on AP people may not have confidence in running certain instances with you and therefore leave at the very beginning to seek a team elsewhere.

Yes, some people are really kittens. They enjoy breaking other’s LFGs.

And it’s not just for dungeons either. One time I was forming a group for SE P2, and then some moron joined the group, merged us with another guy who was looking for a Dry Top taxi, then left the group. It took us a little bit to figure out what happened, and the Dry Top guy didn’t take it well. (I think he reacted poorly, although his frustration was understandable.)
